So, I really need those Upari and Solari crystals! O.O
I've received the datapad, but to say the truth, I haven't had any time to even check what it is. Now I'm on Tatooine again for personal quests of Canderous (or how it is written) and Bastila (finally I've manage to make it being triggered!). Oh, and the game's just frozen 3 times... so for today, enough of KOTOR!

You won't get those crystals for a while (especially Upari). Most crystals available early on (Tatooine, Kashyyyk) are lousy. Krayt dragon pearl and Opila are among the best available early in the game.

My post was mainly to point out that you should always take care that your equipment is up to date. Ditch Bondar crystal if you haven't already done so

I've received the datapad, but to say the truth, I haven't had any time to even check what it is.

The Genoharadan quest can net you some nice items.

personal quests of Canderous

Candyman is fun. If you have played Kingdoms of Amalur, his voice actor is one of the main characters there.

Edit: speaking of fun, HK's definition of love is one of the best lines in SW franchise.

I know about the dragon pearl! I went to the Sandmen enclave and for a mission (hearing their story) I had to bring the pearl with me. I thought their boss were going to check it in my inventory and then tell me the story. As soon as I've realized he actually TOOK the pearl from my inventory, I've send you-know-where Sandmen story and I've reloaded to have the pearl back!

After every mission, I check if I have new pieces for upgrading my weapons/armors but of course those already updated, can't be updated again :-( I'd thought there would have been some different pieces, ie: a basic trigger with a +1 of damage and later in the game an improved trigger with a +2. But each time you find a trigger, it's the same old +1 trigger :-/ So, no new updates...

Ehi, "Candyman" is fantastic! :-D
When does HK speak about love?

You can get two pearls on Tatooine.

The upgrade system was improved for Kotor 2. You get more slots and you can make your own upgrades (that work the way you described). It allows much more customization possibilities for your equipment. Even lightsabers have three upgrade slots in addition to the crystals.

When does HK speak about love?

It is in Kotor 2 (HK will be back in the sequel).

O.O where is the second one? Go, tell me!!!

I just hope I'll be able to finish KOTOR1. I need a lot of technical help (read: miracle) in order to put the game working again. Maybe by disabling the auto-save the game would not crash in that point... hmmm, this seems a good idea (especially because I tend to be hypochondriac and I save every 30 seconds :-P )

Follow the Dark Side you must.

This is always recommendable.

:-( nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! I don't want to follow the Dark Side! I don't like the Dark Side! I'm totally light! See here: https://lh4.googleus...ORCharacter.jpg as you can see, I'm super-light! And I want to stay in that way!
It's Bastila who's worrying me... lately she says strange things and I'm starting to think she will fall on the dark side :-(
By the way: if you are a light character, do you get dark-point by using dark-side force powers?

No you don't. Opposite force powers will cost more points, though. Conversely, same side powers will cost less.

Edit:how come you use armor and not robes? Several powers are unusable in armor - speed most notably.

In fact. Speed is the only one I'd like to be able to use (I've selected it, just to discover I can't use it with an armor on. Now I'm more careful when I have to choose powers... at least, I read all the details :-P ). So I use the speed-increasing items. Don't know the English name, but they are the things you can buy or find in the enemies' corpses. You use them and get an increase in speed for 120 seconds, just like the force-power.
I'll stop using armors when I'll find a decent Jedi robe. That thing I wear gives something like a +11 in defence. Since I am supposed to be a Jedi consular, but I can't help myself in going melee, I prefer having a better defence!

Master speed is a must, especially on later levels, when you are wading knee-deep in Sith. It gives you +4 to defense and two extra attacks per round.

You mean the stimulant. It only affects movement speed, not attack speed.

You should have Jedi master robes by now. There are only two robes better than those.

Also note that when you get to maximum light/dark side, you'll get an attribute bonus.

Yes, I know that, but I can't help feeling the need for a better armor. I hope in the next part of the game I'll be able to find a robe with something more than a +2 bonus :-/
Which attribute I get when maximizing the light/dark score?
Being a consular, I've got a good amount of force points, but I'm not that good in combat, so I do prefer keep an armor on...

Depends on your alignment and class. As I recall, light side consulars get a wisdom bonus. It will show up on the character sheet.

Maybe in the character sheet the bonus will show, but I can't see any special icon or whatever that says "You got this for having maximized light points" :-(
Any suggestion about the best force power to have?

Are you sure you are at maximum? The bonus should be written above the character picture.

Any suggestion about the best force power to have?

Master Speed, Improved Energy Resistance, Force Wave (as your character is a scoundrel this is very good, because you get sneak attacks against stunned enemies), Insanity and/or Force Storm for Dark Side characters. Cure or Heal can be useful but it is not mandatory if you have lots of medpacks. Heal will even cure poison effects.

Throw Lightsaber or Destroy Droid is useful for one particular battle. Destroy Droid can be handy against droids anyway so I'd pick it. It is a light side power so you can cast it with little cost.

Note that although Improved Energy Resistance description does not say so, it does work against energy damage (blasters, lightsabers).

As a side note I always pick Force Storm even when playing a light side character, because of the sheer awesomeness of it.

I suppose I am. You know, streams of light running toward the sky, glitters all around... I think it's the max range...

I think "throw lightsaber" is quite useless :-/ I've seen Bastila using it twice and I wan't impressed at all o.O
Ok, you're right: the Force Storm is cool!!! :-D

It is abysmally useless, but as I said, it can be a lifesaver in one specific fight, if you don't have Destroy Droid. Force Suppresssion, Shock, and Drain Life work as well.

Also, when you plan on what powers to take, note the level cap of 20.

As to the attribute bonus, have you manually checked your Wisdom score? Meaning calculate what it should be and compare it to the value on the sheet.

I have "destroy droid", so I think I am quite confident about not choosing the throw :-)

What do you mean with "level cap of 20"? We can't reach above 20 levels? Because, I have 8 as scoundrel, so I should just have 12 as Jedi... so no powers which need more than 12 levels, right?

No, I haven't manually checked it, but now, in my character screen (the one with all the streams of light) there's a strange icon in the top part of the right "curved empty line"... Still, I have no idea what does that icon mean...

PS: by the way, I'm on Korriban now! Just to do that stupid side quest of Carth... My previous thought was to do the side quest and go on Manaan, but I'm afraid I'll have to finish this planet... there are too many too complex quests here, to leave, do another planet, come back and being able to understand anything! o.O

The highest (total) level you can get to is 20. So, if you have 8 Scoundrel levels, you can get to level 12 as a Consular. Many people prefer to "save" some of their levels on Taris, so they can get more Jedi levels (and powers).

No, I haven't manually checked it, but now, in my character screen (the one with all the streams of light) there's a strange icon in the top part of the right "curved empty line"... Still, I have no idea what does that icon mean..

So you have the icom? It means you have light side mastery and the bonus.

Korriban is my personal favorite. A couple of tips: you need to be careful with the academy quests, most of them have multiple solutions and some of these give you dark side points so be mindful of that. Also, it is quite possible to fail Carth's side quest.

Additionally, you do have three star maps now (Dantooine, Tatooine, Kashyyyk)? After you complete Korriban, be sure to post here. You'll get a small intermezzo when you leave the planet. I'll update the video listing.

Here I am, just ended Korriban, the most interesting planet, so far. I don't even know why, I'll be able to do all the action while keeping a LS path. Oh, and I've loved Jolee comments on the entire plot :-D

It seems I have a monstrous amount of Force Power points, so, yes, I suppose something has happened to my Wisdom score (even if I have to admit I have all the possible items and whatever able to raise that number!)
I suppose I've failed Carth's quest the first time... Damn! Those dialogues are so BADLY translated into Italian! Luckily, most of the times I'm able to hear the speaking voices in English, so I can choose the most suitable option to answer. Not in that situation, due to a very annoying background noise (as in the Jedi Enclave outside). Well, I reload the dialogue and all went well.

Now I think I'm going back to Yavin (I've got some credits I'd like to spend), then Jedi Enclave, then Tatooine (for some random personal quests). After that, I'm moving towards Manaan, for Jolee's quest. Oh, we killed Darth Bandon (I mean, "Bandon"? Really? o.O I'm so frightened out from a name like that... -_-' ). Not a tough fight, to say the truth. But we were wearing mind-power immunity items, following your suggestion :-)
By the way... from what I've heard around, now I am supposed to see Carth's romance... :-/ Well, I've got 2 or 3 dialogues from him and the best part of that was being compared to his dead wife. Wow, Bioware-guys should do a quick class about how women think, before writing another romance for girls! I supposed Aarin Gend in NWN1 was the worst of the worst (SPOILER he spend hours telling you about his own past story, then, all of a sudden, he stated he loves you. o.O And for what? You are the only one that spoke, you don't even know anything else about me beside my name! END SPOILER) but being constantly compared to a dead woman is... well, let's say I'm speechless... ¬_¬

As I said, you'll get a small detour on the way. Video 17 is the arrival, and 17a is the departure. Video 31a takes place just before you leave. You will get the second mandatory fighter minigame on departure. You will no longer have access to Dantooine after this. You will find out the reason why pretty soon.

IIRC, many of the Bioware writers are women.

Thank for the video-correspondence... and also for the fighter game advice, now I am psychologically prepared :-D

"many of the Bioware writers are women" o.O Seriously?
Well, this all reminds me of Enpatiras's comics... This is the first one, if you don't worry about spoilers, just below the pic you can see the link for the following pages. http://epantiras.dev...mances-95258617 she has understood everything! (and put it into comics :-D )

Yes, I have that! That's where I've bought the black armor I'm wearing ^^ Wonderful item! A bit expensive, maybe...

Oh, I was forgetting... is there a way to actually EMPTY the inventory a bit? There are many things I can't get rid off. You know, old plot items (ok, it's extremely interesting reading the story of the 3 Jedi who left for killing the terentatek, or what about Bantha food?) that are just there creating mess around. Now, I retrieve a new datapad and I have to read EVERY ONE I had in the inventory because they are all named "datapad" and I can't understand which is the new one (no, the feature "show only new items" doesn't seem to work). And of course, you can't sell plot items. I've tried to put them in the Ebon Hawk cargo, but they aren't selectable :-(

Just wait till you get the two crystals. Those are 20k+ credits each.

You answered your own question. But the game does remove most plot items at a certain point.

I'm coming here after a looooooong, looooooooon session.

O.O

how cool this game is!!! Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! (I've enjoyed most of all the HK part of the story! :-D Especially the sentence when he says he's happy neither one of us has been killed in a permanent way :-D )
... still, I would like to beat Bastila with a long stick in her head... ¬_¬
