Everything will be alright tonight
Everything will be alright tonight
No one moves
No one talks
No one thinks
No one walks tonight
Tonight

Eh? Was your Shep humming that to himself when he comitted genocide, or do I have to whistle a happy tune as the slides play out?

Funny how secrets travel
I'd start to believe
if I were to bleed
Thin skies, the man chains his hands held high
Cruise me blond
Cruise me babe
A blond belief beyond beyond beyond
No return No return

I'm deranged
Deranged my love
I'm deranged down down down
So cruise me babe cruise me baby

Wow... this ****ing **** community... You morons have a "appreciation thread" for a **** ending? For a company that doesn't give a **** about you... I'm out. Idiots will be idiots

:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Case in point about why I now loathe just about every endings hater in the forums (except for those folks on my friends list who usually manage to be polite about it). People who appreciated the efforts BW made to address their concerns OR those who were actually okay with the original endings because they didn't need to be spoonfed every detail are not the idiots here.

People who can't move on with their lives after experiencing a game ending they didn't like (lulz) and who then end up writing expletive-filled posts that insult those who don't share their views...well, I'd suggest that they go put on their dunce caps immediately. Idiots will be idiots after all - they should dress appropriately.

 Its a game. Get over it.

The ending or the refusal of some to respect life? One is easy, the other....not so much.

What do you say to the people who killed the Geth and hate EDI?

The refusal to respect life... that doesn't exist, was designed, developed, and presented to you entirely through a work of fiction... hrmm.  So watching Law & Order: SVU makes me either a pervert or someone who doesn't respect the rights of citizens when it comes to police actions?  I'm confused when morality comes into play when me enjoying the video game has no negative impact on anyone's life but my own.

But really, you're just a troll, so here is a more appropriate response:

Your bitterness is just so great.  Om nom nom nom.  Those tears and righteous anger will sustain me for many centuries to come.  Tastes a lot like happy to me.  Om nom nom nom.

Ah, I see - you're asking from the point of view of someone who couldn't save the Geth. You know, I actually played a vanilla Shep for my one and only ME3 (pre EC) playthrough and couldn't reconcile the differences between Geth and Quarian. I chose Destroy. In all seriousness, it did make the choice a little more palatable.

I've no problem with people saying they roleplayed a genocidal ****head inko1nsiderate, I just object to boardies extolling the moral virtues of their choice. What colour was your ending?

I am a monster for choosing Destroy. I do not deny this. Do not assume that all people attempt to justify their decisions. But you can take responsibility.

What a load of bollocks.

I personaly think they are not done with the ending. they want to tell a story of shepard and do not want spoil the ending. Do we start at the end off a book or the beginning . I think the are just beginning.

I don't understand the question, as I choose differently based on which Shepard I am playing.

My first character to beat me3 went synthesis, second went control, third went destroy,  last two went control becuase they were medium-ems and were told destroy would put the galaxy in a bad place, but on NG+ one will go destroy, and the other might go refuse.

The ones who choose destroy often do so because they see it as the only way to ensure the death of Reapers and to finish the cycle of genocide.   One is probably ok with comitting genocide to stop countless million future genocides, but he was ~90% renegade and romancing Tali.

If you're referring to Refuse then absolutely not. One has no way of knowing how that choice will play out without metagaming knowledge. That makes Refuse Shep an (allbeit rather stupid) victim of unfortunate circumstance, not an active participant in the destruction, subversion or suppression of entire species.

"One has no way of knowing how that choice will play out without metagaming knowledge." -  Shepard, along with the rest of the military presented in game seems to not have any doubt how it will play out. Not certainty, but educated guess with a very low chance of mistake, pretty much a miracle is needed. But if denying the obvious is what lets you not fall from your moral high horse, than be my guest. I justify myself by necessity, lesser evil, you justify yourself by, what exactly? Denial? Ignorance? Blindness?

what a weak arguement.
You never know how your choises in life play out...

You have no idea if curing the genophage is a good thing or not...if keeping the collector base saves lifes or not...

you always have to make a guess of what the consequences of your actions will be.

saying i do nothing ...so i don´t do the wrong thing is absurd...it is clear that doing nothing will change nothing.
that the cycle will continue.

though choises are though for a reason.

Absolute garbage, every word. Three solutions require Shep become an active participant in the destruction, subversion or suppression of entire species, the other does not. Whats not to understand?

No, just an indication of how invested Mac and Casey were in defending their original endings. You see, if our not so dynamic duo decided to scribble some different words on the piece of toilet paper that detailed our extended endings we would have got a different one. What a silly post.

That lack of action in certain situations is worse than action, even if that action is strictly evil. Especially if that action is something you personally are responsible for.

The other leads to galactic extinction of every species. I think I understand.
