Maybe after several DLC like Leviathan we'll finally have enough EMS to refuse and win without the Catalyst.
I hope not...that would be the biggest mistake bioware could do...I don´t think they are that stupid.
Indeed. The rage would be astronomical, people would be complaining about needing to buy a bunch of DLC to unlock that, and rightfully so.
But yeah the forums could use a thread like this.

Throwing granade to own fanbase, marvelous plan ! Milking franchise Via DLCs to have a full context of game - master plan ... I am only missing this sound.

I'm sure they can write a great new story in ME Universe. Especially since Dark Energy and Reapers' Creators plots were reserved for some future games most likely.

I don't consider "being harvested, processed into organic goo, and made into a giant space metal cuttlefish" to be exactly my own terms. There is no freedom, as long as the Reapers are part of the picture.LiarasShield wrote...
Well If I have to win or lose I'd rather do it on my own terms then my enemies or the catalyst choices and I believe for freedom and that everyone in the universe has the right to make their own choices in this world or universe refuse is the best option out of extended for me
Better to die with freewill as you are then being forced into being something or someone else

Name another game you've talked about this long. Oh wait, you're probably satisfied with a kiss on the cheek from the princess in your games. Or a text scroll. Animal house?

Bioware has created a controversy from bad writing. Showgirls achieved the exact same feat.
And yes, that thing has it's fans too, especially in France, where they love to talk about how deep it is.

I am so glad this thread exists cause I see too many "hate BioWare" threads and almost gave up hope on the majority of BSN. Keep it up guys.

Perhaps my Shepard just wants the war to be over? What if he doesn't want to be a hero?

Optimystic there have been discussions over games that have existed for ten years.
Like what? Final Fantasy? Even the semi-decent ones (1 through 7) were totally linear; there was nothing to debate. Bioshock? Portal? Greatly written, but again, nothing to debate - their stories are self-contained. Give me some examples, please.

The fact that you can't even get everyone to agree with that, let alone the ways in which it was bad and how it could be improved, is proof that they succeeded in what they set out to do.
I believe the controversy - especially post-EC - stems as much from gamer entitlement complex as any sort of artistic decisions Bioware have made.

Dude, the same thing happened exactely three years ago when Charlotte Gainbourg took a pair of scissors to her groin and cut a piece out.
Controversy =/= Good
Lars von Trier had every right to do what he wanted, and I like Antichrist, but just because it causes controversy and discussion doesn't mean ****.
It's called being a provacteur. Some people do it better than others. Lars von Trier is a master. Mac Walters is not.

All you're throwing at me is empty spectacle. I don't know either of those people nor do I care, and I don't see anyone debating their actions, or forming "for-against" factions for them either. I do see raging debate all over the internet (no, not just BSN) about ME3's ending.
Now do you have any pertinent examples, or not?

Okay then. Here's a trailer. <- NSFW
I won't post details, but this film caused more controversy than anything that ever came before it at the Cannes film festival.
This type of **** happens all the time.
People simply think it's hip when a discuission lasts for a few months.
People have been debating In the Realm of the Senses for over forty years.
The whole debate is silly. The endings are not special in the slightest.

No offense but a truly selfless hero would rather sacrifice his principles than sacrifice the galaxy.
