Just finished the EC and....

Just wanted to take a moment to say....

Holy S***. Just. Holy. Wow. S***.

I have never been so affected by a video game. The whole series is just.... so... incredible.

The level of immersion and emotional attachment to the characters and universe in this franchise is unreal.

I have been moved and it was good.

I SOOO don't want it to be over...

Thessia, Palaven, Rannoch, Tuchanka, Serenity... Saying goodbye to everyone before the final mission...

This series comprises the most emotional involvement and immersion I have EVER experienced in a game. Ever.

I just wanted to express what an epic, emotional, and profound journey the ME arc was for

I'm betting we'll know how the catalyst controls the reapers in Leviathan. And Seival, I thought I heard Harbinger say "save us" before getting hit by the laser. Now it may just be a case of hearing what I want to, but if it indeed true, then that's another reason I can't make control my canon ending. That just further prolongs their slavery. I'd either put them out of their misery or free them. Control, to me is maintaining the status quo. It doesn't go towards either extremes that is synthesis and destroy, and for that reason it is also the least controversial.

I'm sure all Reapers have no their own minds, and Nazara/Harbinger/Leviathan are unique. Moreover, I think that Harbinger and Nazara didn't speak for themselves. It was the Catalyst, who spoke throught them.

And don't forget that Control keeps Synthesis option available. Catalyst-Shepard may use it in the future. But not before it will prepare people for that, and maybe even improve Synthesis mechanics to remove too many unknowns.

Yep, I support this thread. Loved the entire Mass Effect trilogy all the way through and still play it today. The original endings were average, but I absolutely love the EC. Emotional, fun, and epic. Seriously, probably my favourite series, not just in video games, but in any medium.

Also he may let the Reapers free, when he made sure that they are no thread anymore and he discoveres that they truly have a mind of their own and are peaceful in nature.

Agree 100%.  Hell, I even listen to the soundtracks on my way to work as opposed to regular music.

I even made my own Best of mixtape with 2 Hours of uninterrupted Mass Effect goodness. I worked on it for 3 days so it would have a really nice flow.

More hope restored! Wish the BSN was like this, or at least more civil. Anyway.

What do you guys think that Leviathan might add to the whole Catalyst and origins discussion? 'Cause something tells me we're gonna get some bad news, as in what happened all that time ago.

If you are talking about the "no one will trust the catalyst" thread then keep in mind that it's created by an ITer. They think all of it was a dream, EC included. I don't mean to disrespect them, its just that their perspective is different than ours, so they will reach a different conclusion than us.

I personally think we will get to know more about how reapers are made, how the catalyst controls them. Can't ****ing wait!

Same here. Mass Effect, Fallout and Assassin's Creed would be my favourites. I guess I have a weakness for games with awesome music. :P I listen to their tracks more than other regular music xD

@pirate1802

Same here, I'm hoping Connor can live up to the legend that is Ezio Auditore. The game's trailers have looked fabulous.

I agree,i also think we will learn a lot more about the race that originated the Reapers, and possibily more about the conflict as well.

A question, especially to Controllers: Do you think the AI-Shep created after you grab the handles is a free AI or a shackled AI?

I would hope that it's shackled. If it isn't that means the possibilities of the AI running amok are much higher.

That's why I won't risk Control.

I think that the original Catalyst's personality was based on (or programmed by) some unstable person.

Well people should really stop trying to say what ending is better then another it may be a ending that suits you you but you're using power humans were never ment to use no matter what the intention or the goald you're playing god and using power to alter everything in the universe their is no justification for it
