There are plenty of threads here which will offer you support and constructive discussion for your negative opinions, Dan. This is a thread in which folks who actually like the EC at least somewhat can gather. There aren't many threads like that on BSN, which you can take as some level of validation if you want -- I really don't care.
But I wouldn't post blasting Kelly Chambers' character in the Kelly Chambers Support Thread as objectively bad simply because I feel she's a poor character, and I don't even have the "luxury" of a million and one anti-Kelly threads to vent in. So please, show a little respect and confine yourself to the million and one anti-endings threads if you're going to make such boldly anti statements.
Simply locking yourselves away from discourse is rather weak.

There is no game that doesn't have glitches and bugs. As for inconsistencies, you are right there are quite a few but I can deal with it. So it is not crap to me.
The sheer magnitude of glitches and bugs cannot be simply handwaved by saying "All games have them." There's having a few, then there's Mass Effect 3.

I don't care that much about the starchild and the three (four?) choices you can make and such. But getting there just seems more absurd to me on each playthrough...

I still have plenty of problems with the ending, but more with an execution. I don't like sudden exposition dump by the Catalyst, I'm not a fan of his reasons to harvest, I would like to know more about the Crucible and exact nature and effects of those choices. But as to choices themselves, I am totally ok with them, I like Control and Destroy, I'm indifferent towards Synthesis. I like final animations (except Normandy derp landing scene), I like epilogues, I like effects those choices have on ME world and the fact they're difficult and imperfect.DrGunjah wrote...
just out of interest... those of you, who actually like the ending.. you don't have any problems with everything that happens during and after the beam scene?

I like both ME3 as a whole and endings, but they're far from perfect, and I wouldn't mind more added through DLC.

My only problem is that everything is so slow. Everyone's wheezing and crawling and whatever momentum has been built up is totally wrecked. Even making the choice takes a good ten seconds just because Shepard has to limp.
Give me a Shepard that can still run or at least walk at normal pace and replace the cutscenes with normal skippable dialogue, and I'll find the ending well above average. As it is whatever positive feelings I have about the actual choice come only after spending about five minutes of frustrated 'just let me get there already!'

I'm sorry but i haven't encountered this sheer magnitude of glitches and bugs. I've experienced only one major bug that is getting stuck behind Joker's chair, nothing noteworthy beyond that. So I'm only talking from my PoV.

There are quite a few bugs in MP, some of them serious, but in SP I can't recall any.pirate1802 wrote...

I have many. I like the endings in principle but their execution is lacking. I don't like the catalyst and the fact that he comes out of nowhere (better now with leviathan), his reasons for harvesting, I still believe the dark energy plot would have been far better a reason to harvest than tech singularity. I don't like the crucible and that its basically a giant paintbrush that no one has any idea about. How it brings about the three choices we are never told. I don't like the amount of space magic involved.
So there are many things I don't like. BUT I like the choices itself, I like the effects those choices have upon the galaxy. I like that they are tough, imperfect choices and there's no easy way out. There is no perfect choice. That maybe a bad thing to some, but not to me. I personally like morally gray choices so.. I like the epilogue, all of them, even the refusal one. I just hope these choices were grounded in more believable science, and foreshadowed properly.
So the endings are no way perfect, but I find them good enough. And I think they'll become better. Retroactive foreshadowing may not be ideal but it is better than no foreshadowing at all.

And then the choices:
Destroy: The ultimate ending of the mission. We will sacrifice and we will win. What we have we earned, through our sweat and our blood, it wasn't handed to us. We will rebuild and we will grow stronger, together.
Control: The ultimate ending of Shepard's character arc. Transcending mortal life into something greater. After all the beacons, the upgrades, the return from death, the human known as Shepard reached immortality, and now provides for the rest of the galaxy.
Synthesis: The ultimate ending of all the conflicts. Learning from each other. A large brotherhood, united, working together, exactly as Shepard envisioned. No more war, only understanding. The goals of the galaxy and the Reapers combined.
The endings DO fit with the themes of the series. They were hinted at the entire time. It's not spelled out for you, but if you let go of your expectations and sadness then it's beautiful.

"Beam scene" is fine. Shepard was critically wounded, but this can't stop her. I see no problem in that. It's just a part of the scenario.

I guess now it's time to create simple and positive thread about ME Trilogy Ending. We don't really need a wall of text with different explanations and theories about the endings. There are many such threads exist already.
This thread has two main purposes. First of all, this is my way (and not only mine I suppose) to say thanks to BioWare. They really did amazing job, creating those non-standard, interesting, and instructive endings. Secondly (but not less importantly), I believe that it will be usefull to have centralized thread, where all people with different (or the same) ways of thinking could discuss everything they want about different endings without creating disturbance in some particular ending support threads.
You have some thoughts, theories or concerns about some particular ending or endings in general? Or maybe you have some ending fan-art you want to share? Or you just want to say thanks to BioWare? If so, this thread is definitely for you. And if you are looking for some particular ending support thread, then I can point you in the right direction:
Control Ending support thread.
Synthesis Ending support thread.
Destroy Ending support thread.
Refusal Ending support thread.
EDIT: Poll about favorite ending: http://social.biowar...72/polls/38622/
P.S. Please, be polite and constructive. Remember, anger is counter-productive and can do nothing good. Let's show BioWare some support. They deserved it.
The day I stop crying in a corner of this is the day I will forgive Bioware.

Ah yes, the face import bug. We've dismissed that claimThat is quite bad. Especially for femsheps. But its fixable. As I understand, this bug only affects femsheps created back in ME1. Those created in ME2 import just fine. There are plenty of fixes available for that.
All my ME1 Femsheps were imported beautifully with the patch.

I love my Shepard looks almost as much as Jennifer Hale voice
This Shepard was created back in ME1. No mods were used. She has red hair, green eyes, and blue armor
