Hey guys,i have been thinking a lot about the templar mage problem that is curentlly in Theadas.I'm considering what the mages are doing wrong, what the templars are doing wrong and ultimatly i found a solution that would fit both sides and i think everyone would agree to it.

Templar-Police
So let me begin, let the mages walk free, let them live in cities with their familes, have the same rights as other people, but there would be rules, like for example 'no blood magic' or 'don't leave the town without asking'.If a mage breaks a rule ONLY THEN would the templars have the right to hunt the individual who broke the rules and IMPRISON him/her.I think this isn't the perfect solution but it is stable and achieveable and definitly better than the one we currently have in Theadas.
Of course it has some flaws like some mages can be wrongly accused or some mages who are guilty can run away without getting caought, but it is still the best solution i can come up to...

Tell me what you think about my solution?Post a reply.Maybe post your solution?

I think you miss the point of mages and why they are rounded up. The main reason they are made to live in the Tower or whatever is that if they do become a Demon they are no threat to anyone but other mages or the Templars. If they were just in town as you said they could end up killing a whole town/city before they could be stoped.

Mages are a part of this world(well Theadas) whather you like it or not! They need to have a place in society, locking them in a tower is not a solution, ofc they are going to go crazy and side with demons when locked up in a tower, prison or whatever.I think that if they are free, the blood magic-demon thing problem would be 99% gone, mages would be happy. only crazy mages would give their soul to a demon, and if templars are observing the mages they could react in time to save everyone and as i mentioned above there would be no massive demon raids on cites becouse 99% of mages would be happy with their life and have no reason to turn to blood magic.1000 templars A.K.A abomination killing machines  vs 1 crazy abomination who decides to side with demons, think about it who would win?

Mages were put in Circle Towers as a result of a peaceful protest mages staged in a cathedral over their lack of rights, and Divine Ambrosia II contemplated an Exalted March on her own church to deal with them. While your solution is interesting, the Chantry and the templars will never surrender control of the mages willingly. The Chantry preaches that templars have "dominion over mages by divine right." There isn't likely going to be a peaceful compromise between mages who want their freedom from the Chantry and the templars, and Chantry members and templars who believe that they should rule over mages.
