What should I play, 2h War (zerker/vanguard) or DW assassin/duelist rogue? I like both so I can't decide... Thanks for the opinions!

Try being a shadow archer... archery can be quite strong.

I seem to keep going back to shadow/assassin archer Hawkes. I prefer just having one melee fighter, usually Aveline, and you can do damage while being able to detect traps without having to manually control a rogue companion.
Once you find a good bow, like Hood's Message to the King (dlc), and equip it with the primeval lyrium rune, you'll be doing plenty of damage, from a safe distance from the front lines. I also like blasting brittle targets with Archer's Lance.

I suggest you try a duel-weild rogue Assassin/Shadow. Duelist sucks, I mean, a crowd-control rogue?!? No thanks! It works for Isabela, but she's got those type of talents, so she doesn't get her 'a' kicked ALL the time. Stealth is already the best way to deal damage for rogues, is it not? So I think Shadow is much better than Duelist.
Shadow is hard to hit, with great supportive talents involving stealth and CCC, and Assassin kicks the ship out of enemies already. Once you have like 90% critical chance, you'd pretty much be unstoppable.
Also, there's already 1 or 2 archer rogues - Varric and Sebastian. Plus you've got Anders and Merrill for ranged spells. Being able to take or avoid melee hits is vital in difficult fights, and there's lots of ways to avoid damage as a rogue, to easily make up for using melee. Mage is different to ranged rogue, since you can handle most situations (though I think that's more so true for Origins, than for DAII).

Varric and Sebastian may already be archers, but you can never have enough. You can just throw Aveline at the crowd to get their attention and pick the enemies off from the shadows with your bow.
You can't go wrong with any kind of rogue. Whether melee or ranged, they both do insane amounts of damage. Try them both.

I still prefer Archer Rogue, i don't know why, Melee Rogue of any specialization didn't give me satisfaction
Shadow Assassin Archer Rogue got style...i feel my canon Hawke is an archer
Ranged, high critical chance and critical damage, it is madness...madness? it is DA2 Archery!

I can't get away from the Duel-wielding rogue, myself. So awesome. Better in DA:O, but still awesome.

DAO's DW rouge was the best right-click to win I've ever seenEntropicAngel wrote...

I love playing as 2 handed Warrior. Is pretty imba and then I don't need bland Aveline in my party

Being a Templar Warrior on Nightmare is great; you get to be a tank as well as being capable of dispelling enemy spells. Bloodmages and those Magic using monsters (Emissays and whatnot) can kick your ass fairly quickly in Nightmare if you get stuck in their vortex or blood curses.

You should be a dual wielding warrior or a melee mage.
