Let me start off by saying I've already tried chatting with EA's help desk and they referred me to the forums to post the issue.

Today while playing, I noticed that every time I gained enough points to level up one of my characters in multiplayer and went to the powers screen to upgrade them, the system had already chosen my powers/ranks for me.

Does anyone else out there either suffer from this problem?

I have gone into the options - gameplay  menu and checked to make sure Auto Level- Up was off and even hit the "reset to defaults" option, but to no avail?

For me auto-level up is always disabled from the start....but I think if you go back to that Power screen you should be able to press 'Y' to turn off the auto-level. At least, that's what button it tells to press to turn it on.

when I go into the powers subscreen I have 3 choices: "Y" Reset Powers, "A" Expand, "B" Confirm (?). When I expand an individual power, the first two choices "Y" & "A" are grayed out (I belive one is select power and the other is undo), and "B" Confirm. No matter what I've tried, those two selections have never returned to where I can select either. Also I promoted one of my 20th level characters, hoping that I could just try and undo the auto-level up at 1st level, since it's pretty obvious where the starting point is spent, but it still wouldn't allow me to undo the changes.

Sorry, no idea what I was thinking of. The Auto Level up option found in the Gameplay menu is the only place where you can modify that feature. If that's not working, I really don't know what else you can do.

im haveing this problem too im tired of leveling up my characters and not being able to spend the points on skills the way i want and im trying to figure out how to turn it off

Try the options in the main menu, (where you choose multiplayer, campaign etc) in there i think you can find it. It's def not in the multiplayer game
