specifically game related. Sorry if this is the wrong place or if you've
heard it already.
The most popular dismissal of complaints is the notion of self-entitlement being
wrong. How this became viewed with such negativity baffles me. If
you are in a capitalistic market , supporting something that doesn't meet your
expectation makes you an irresponsible consumer. Look at it from a pure
entertainment and time perspective where money is out of the equation.
You are seeking entertainment but have a limit on time available for it.
A writer, painter and musician want you to indulge their work. The system
is setup for them to cater to you, not the other way around. You break
the system by accepting something you aren't satisfied with. The only
strange situations are cases where the producers don't care about your time and
only want to create. It's really not an exception as they aren't
participating in the system anymore.
You as a customer should feel entitled to have an expectation met. You should
also check yourself to keep unreasonable expectations from being
established. If BW is happy with their current market level, you need to
lower your expectations or leave. They unfortunately have a monopoly on
ME entertainment. But it is not being spoiled to want satisfaction
or campaign for possible change. However, it is spoiled to expect
satisfaction from unreasonable wants, and to think a producer is obligated to
change when they hold the bargaining power.
Sorry for the rant. And CONGRATS all the way to Mars
for Curiosity.
