Like a lot of people lately, I've been experiencing an EXCESSIVE number of disconnects, usually while editing a character, or somewhere in the second wave of a match I've joined. I recently started tracking when these disconnects occured, and what I was currently/had been doing in hopes of figuring out how to at least cut down on being dropped. Eventually, a rather interesting pattern started to emerge. Almost everytime I get disconnected (not counting store hangups) I was either editing powers, weapons, equipment or appearance less than five minutes prior. At one point, I played several matches in a row without incident, then changed my weapon loadout and sure enough the connection was lost about halfway through wave 2. It also crops up if I'm just working on a character and switch from editing (for example) powers to weapons. Usually if I exit multiplayer after each "step" then re-enter, it stops the problem. However, occasionally, when returning (either after a intentional exit or dropped connection) changes made to characters as long as ten minutes prior to doing so were not saved.
Am I crazy, or has anyone else noticed this?
(update: Still seeing the same behavior, but I've noticed that if I join a match reight after logging in and finish it, I can then edit equipment and/or level powers without DCing on the next match (on that character only). If I edit anything BEFORE the first match, still DCs somewhere in the second wave I play.)
