How frustrating is it when you die and….

You have a Pyro right over you and the minute you use a medi gel to get up, you get burnt/flamed to death or a turret is there and kills you just as fast.
Should there be a 2-3 second invincibility while using medi-gels with enemies around?

I tend to stay dead a few moments if enemies are above me and other players are alive. Gives me a second to run the hell away from the enemy/let my shield recharge. It is annoying when you're in a 'last man standing' scenario though and you know you'll probably be flamed down again immediately after using a medigel.
I tried that for a while, until the enemies started teabagging my corpse. It's what I get for falling so near to cover, but it's just not pleasent. It's bad enough when human idiots do it to me on Halo. When a computer does it on a game that doesn't have a crouch feature? That's when I rage, medi-gel, and start blowing heads up with a shotgun.

Yes, and it should start after the stand up animation finishes. If you shoot or attack in any way the invincibility goes away.

No, I don't think that there shouldn't be an immunity. If it's unsafe to revive, just wait it out until the enemies move on.shova 01 wrote...

What if there was an immunity and you were a few steps away from a delivery and you fell? Just get up, be invincible and get the objective. Yuck. I'd rather play smart and not get downed or wait until it was safe to revive myself instead of getting temp godmode. Where's the fun in that?

Isn't there such a thing already? OK, when you get staggered, you're down again very quick, but I always get an immunity period after revival and medigel
That immunity only lasts for the stand up animation.

Fine, so I'll add to my above statement that interacting with anything removes the invincibility. So you get 2-3 seconds of invincibility after the stand up animation finishes and attacking in any way and interacting with anything removes it. So you get up and if you do anything but run away the invincibility is canceled.
Sounds good to me.

There is much more fun in that than the alternative. Revived, melee attacked by hunter, instant follow up shotgun blast, 2 more bullets from a geth trooper and down again. Absolutely nothing I could do. For an entire 5 seconds my character wasn't my character. I could have hit every button at the same time and done nothing to help myself. THAT is frustrating gameplay.

Everytime i revive people in gold, they never roll!
When you hear the revive sound, spam your roll. Forward, sideways, backwards (this one not so good as the animation seems slower) doesn't matter, just roll!
You will roll then stagger a bit, spam roll again to reduce the stagger. And roll towards cover that is empty of enemies. As long as you spam it, even with some lag, you will successfully roll

Unfortunately most enemies don't care if you're rolling or not, they will hit you anyway.

Or when you get up and then get grabbed by a Banshee...
I was once dropped into a match only to land in front of a Banshee who then grabbed me in her death lock. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the match trying to prove I'm not a turd.

This. Also if you have grenades use them. Or stasis, or overload, or etc, etc, etc. There are plenty of options.
Here's a hint. Use your Ops Survival Packs for when you medi-gel. Congratulations, just bought yourself an extra 3-4 seconds to get away.

The roll gives you distance. This is very important for several reasons.
First, the closest ones will attempt to melee but as you're already rolling, they wasted their time that could have been used to shoot you.
Second, enemies further out have a reduced chance of hitting moving targets as long as they are not tracking weapons (warp ball, rockets). This reduces the damage you take from them.
Third, this gets you closer to high cover such as walls and such which will block everything once you get behind it. The first medigel might not be enough to get you there all the way but the 2nd will get you there.
Even with some instakill units such as phantoms, your roll will get you out of range as they will need to melee you first before they sync kill. You might not get out of their melee attack but spamming the second roll will get tyou out of sync kill range.
It also comes with a bonus. If you roll onto stairs you cannot be sync killed. If you cannot escape going down again and roll onto stairs, your corpse slides down the stairs which buys you even more distance. If you roll close enough to cover, any surviving team mates can revive you through cover, keeping them safe.
