Ignore bracketed text if TL;DNR. If you're just one of those people...
This is what I have gathered about Morality in ME2 so far.
WARNING, information may not be 100% accurate, please correct me if you find anything I type to be faulty. Also, please add anything to this such at Morality bonuses based on choices or finds.

[[In the Morality aspect of ME2, there are only a certain amount of points- meaning both Renegade and Paragon- you can get per section of the game it seems; it is up to you which points you receive based on the dialogue options you choose. Pro-longing a conversation gives you more points (in my experience) as well. And the Death Mask gives you a 10% points boost, or something like that... I once eared 32+ Paragon and 4+ Renegade points in a single conversation (WhatisthisIdon'teven...)]]

However, I was very upset to find out that when I imported my ME2 character into an NG+ that my Paragon and Renegade points did not import as well. [[Now that I think about it, it makes sense that they wouldn't. I would have hoped that I'd have more dialogue choices playing the game over again had I been able to keep my current Morality points, even though that contradicts the Morality point system if I am correct. Basically from what I've gathered, if you want to have different options in your second playthrough, you have to decided whether you want to lean more towards Paragon or Renegade dialogue choices. Trying to even them out will give you both dialogue choices in game play, but less often it seems as neither of your bars will ever max out.]]

In my opinion, the creators of the game could have modified the NG+ playthrough so the character could play with Imported Morality points without that contradiction so they would be able to have more choice in how the conversations go without waiting to fill up on points with side quests and tons of dialogue. Makes it seem more realistic, getting to choose what you want to say and all...

What are your ideas about this subject?

Edit* By no means am I saying I'd like to SKIP all the dialogue and miss out on the game, just that alreayd having the points to make decisions would be nice.

Some of your ME1 morality is imported into ME2 (or should be), up to a maximum of 190 points of each. Annoyingly you lose these if you then reuse that same character for an NG+. You're on a second playthrough with an imported ME1 character so this is why you got nothing for it, but you should have had a bonus to either or both bars when you began the first playthrough. However, it is still possible to get most or all of the conversation options by various means.

Aside from glitches there are a certain number of morality points available in each section, yes. But I'm pretty sure that that's also true of ME1, again aside from glitches. If you want to boost your scores you can make use of the ME2 glitches - one is on Lazarus station after you meet Wilson and can add 4 renegade, 4 paragon or 2 of each every time you use it (depending on conversation options chosen), and the other is at the end of Samara's loyalty mission and adds 2 paragon each time. Both involve saving and reloading and can be time consuming, so I find the Samara one to be a flow breaker since it's more or less in the middle of the story. Alternatively if you understand how the morality system works in ME2 and how it changed from ME1 (plenty written about it here and elsewhere) you can game the system, albeit at the cost of sacrificing roleplay IMO. My current preferred method is to use Gibbed to stick a thousand extra points on each right at the beginning of the game and pick whatever conversation options I please, but that's an obvious cheat. Probably the most effective 'legit' means is to max out your Shepard's passive class skill as early as possible and select the specialisation that gives a 100% bonus on morality points. The Death Mask helps as well but isn't available until later. On an NG+ you can get that 100% bonus working for you very early.

The 100% thing is when you upgrade your passive skill to Adept. I did it right off the bat this time. Thanks for the input

Yes, though I think you mean Bastion, which is one of the two specialisations an Adept can pick at Rank 4 of the biotic mastery power and is the one that gives the 100% bonus rather than the 70% bonus. Different names for other classes of course but one specialisation in each class's passive skill gives 100% and the other 70%.

For Adepts I feel Bastion is a bit of a no brainer anyway: bigger morality point bonus, bigger health increase and longer lasting biotic effects versus more damage done by biotics if Nemesis is chosen instead (cooldown is the same for both). Similar story for the Engineers. Other classes I find the pros and cons balance out better than the two 'caster' classes though maybe it's just the way I play them.
