i tried to clean up and fix the main post, hopefully it is less confusing now.
i was pretty frustrated when i 1st made this thread and did not have the delivery well thought out.
may not be correctly delivered yet, but at least a step closer... i hope
Yes it's much better now. Hopefully people will understand that this thread is not about personal preference. I am able to reproduce this bug while playing with friends (that way I know that they had a crash and didn't just quit).

The problem is that you don't have any control over getting (or excluding) the map if you're playing random maps. When hosting, and playing with a team that includes any warp movement type characters, I've taken to simply cycling through the maps and skipping Rio. However, that is just a band-aid type fix, and it reduces the XP payouts somewhat.
The map is glitched and needs to be fixed.

i will put your thread as a clicky in the main post as an alternative solution.
i will always support ideas like yours that make perfect sense, plus if BW did a filter then there would be no need to remove it from the random generator, as players could do it in their filters.
filters would be a good option to have even if they fix the vanguard in rio problem.

Got added to a Rio game in wave 6, killed one Cannibal and CTD.
I assume Wave 6 as others had been falling out of the game too.
I was a Turian Sentinel. No idea if there was a Vanguard. Was not there long enough.

Then again, he'd been having laggy connections the entire night (he hosted a game prior to this one and it was unpleasantly laggy at times) so maybe that had something to do with it. I mean, maybe the Shadow SS'd something and that did it? I don't know, because I maybe saw her do it once (maybe?). They were all practically camping that center room and did not really listen when I mentioned that camping there was an invitation to constant death. I don't mean to sound like some kind of elitist all-knowing god but omg don't camp there on anything other than bronze unless you like eating pavement.

it could have been the fury or shadow, they both have teleporting abilities.
i have not tested those 2 on the rio, but others have said when using heavy melee that teleports from the cental tower area to the lower catwalks that it can cause glitching to start happening.
may also cause glitches just from the fury doing the dodge in the same area, i cannot confirm that tho.
most likely the same for SS on the shadow.
i image you could reproduce it easily if you feel like taking the time to do it.
also it only takes doing the teleporting one time, so even if they were dead most of the time they could still set off a glitch easily.

you are not reading the entire main topic.
im not saying the map should be removed from the game, im saying it should be removed from the random map selector.
also it has nothing to do with me playing a vanguard, i can play one just fine and not glitch the game out on rio.
thats is because i know where not to use charge or teleport abilities on rio, but not everyone does and randoms have a tendency not to listen ingame if i tell them politely on the mic.
so basically im tired of losing consumables and equipment because of random players joining the lobby, not because i dont know how to play the map.
so take your negetivity some where else.
