So from what I can tell, most people are having no issues, but some people have issues almost every time they play it. And most of the people having issues are PC users (but not all PC users), and most of the console users having issues mention certain spots or characters that cause it to mess up (but not all of them).
I wonder how we can narrow it down, it seems a huge problem for the people with issues, but with most people not having issues it would be stupid to remove it because of only certain people having problems.
Perhaps until Bioware figures out what's going on, they could just put a patch out for the searching system and match starting system so that instead of just a full random selection, you could choose maps you want to find (or be able to start on random) so that people with issues with certain maps (or who just don't like certain ones) could avoid them. So if you had issues with Rio, you can just uncheck it from your starting or searching selection and have it be a random map from the ones you allow.
A question to PC users, is there no way for you to remove or corrupt the map so that you simply cannot load it? That wouldn't be a solution to xbox or ps3 users due to console security, but PC users have the files right there, is that possible?

I found out Rio was causing CTD's the first day I played Earth, but I JUST found out that KV's biotic charge will sometimes land them inside the water reservoir/bigass hole thing. The water on the ground acts like it's solid. It's pretty cool... until you realize you can't do anything there.

If the OP doesn't like RIO he shouldn't play on it. If he doesn't stop screwing with everyone else's game he should be the one that is removed.

Let's ignore that the most buggy map in the game also frequently causes CTD's and bluescreens and numerous other in-game non-crash glitches practically every second match.
Yep, it's obviously because he's just NOT PLAYING IT RIGHT.

Well to be honest, the console (360) froze two times on that map, so I HAD some issues
For example, seeing 3 players instead of 4 (nobody left) in the scoreboard, in an other match, i wasn't able to see the host for an entire wave, after he went down, and literally saw him fell down under the map
So is not that perfect if you ask me, but i like the map though

Havn't had any problems myself with it but I still hate the map with a passion. Too many bad pugs on it who gets swarmed and dies...

I like it, but there can't be any N7 Slayers on your team. I've seen the Rio Slayer kick happen twice.

Slayers, Furies, Vanguards and Shadows. Basically anyone with a rapid-transport/phase skill.

Hate rio. Hate rio. Hate rio. Not bugs just the map period. I'll waste level 3 or 4 consumables and simply bail on it u/u/any. Only map I'll bail on, I simple detest this map.

I've caused other people to crash (or drop) as a vanguard (charge teleport bug) on this map by accident mind you and I've seen other vanguard cause players to drop mid game, myself included with a CTD.
So whenever I search and join a game in progress and it turns out to be Rio, I check the player list and if it's 3 including myself then I know there's a vanguard that caused two people to drop and I bail. If there's 4 including myself I'll just ask if there's a vanguard about on the mic, if I don't get a reply then it's just listening out for the "rawgh!" and "wataa!" sfx and I bail asap.

I really like the map, but there are definite issues with it. Any time I play a Biotic class, I crash. Any time I play a Vangaurd, I get teleported to the center of the map after charging. It's pretty irritating.

I have played many times in Rio with my N7 Slayer (not hosting) and never had any issues, not even with the catwalk part that some players warn about. My friend playes with the N7 Shadow and she has never had any problems there either.
I actually have never ever had any issues/glitches whatsoever with (non-host) vanguards, no matter which map is used. Maybe I'm just extremely lucky.

rio is an awesome map, it has 2 boxes that give out 3 grenades per round. thats amazing for most of the characters i play with. i havent had any problems i can remember that i would attribute to this map.
