Ok ok, here's one: If your "clip" is actually representative of heat storage, then shouldn't your "ammo" slowly regenerate over time if you aren't firing?

No. You're clip is representative of the heat stored that is generated by the shavings of the material inside the gun which is shaved off to be fire. The gun in essence has unlimited ammo (like in ME1) but the heat is sunk into the clips for the safety of the user.

Yes, it should. He means the natural dispersion of heat through the gun/thermal clips. This would be especially apparant in the colder maps.

Did you read my entire post? It would take a large period of time for thermal clips to naturally cool down.

They pulled it off in Mass Effect 1 ... In my opinion using thermal clips was a huge downgrade to the weapons ... Why else do the reapers/geth/cerberus still use the old fashioned weapon modes of ME1 where they have unimited ammo?

The same reason our effing pilot only gives the location of one of the four comm relays at a time? The same reason our effing pilot has an insta-win button and only uses it AFTER wave 11? The same reason our effing pilot decides to come extract us 3 minutes after we did our last mothereffing objective?

Why are our special units being sent into these missions required to go to the casino and gamble for new weapons and equipment?

Don't forget one of the most nonsensical things in the game. Krogans and Batarians getting stunlocked in place while smaller species can still move, despite the fact that krogans and batarians are much larger and stronger.

Worse still... if a Krogan gets a banshee arm thru it or a phantom ninja sword... they should simply stand back up.  Redundant organs ftw?!?

I never thought about that, but you're totally right!

how come we have so many phoenix adept and vanguard defectors while we've never seen any cerberus adepts and vanguards in the first place?

Much like phantoms are kidnapped biotics from Grissom and Banshees are husked Ardat-Yakshi, the pheonix were made as a batch from a particular source.  The descriptions says the indoctrination protocols failed or something like that, so basically they failed to brainwash all of the guys they tried to turn in Iron Man 2 villans, and so they all defected.

An armored combination of 2 toughest races in the galaxy is squishier than a feminine race (even w/o the barrier)

However your overall ammo count should be equal to a multiple of the Clip Size of the gun. Also Thermal Clips are universal so technically you're capacity should be one singular pool of clips used on both (or all 5 for Shepard) weapons. Ofcourse clips ejecting from the sink should ofcourse be remain somewhat heated bar the obvious slight cooldown in it meaning that if you eject a Harrier clip when you've already fired 15 shots it should have 5 shots left, or at best 7 or 8 depending no how quickly the clip cools down.

This has always been my biggest pet peeve when it comes to the thermal clips. I have no more "shots" for my sniper rifle but I still have 400 "shots" for my SMG. Then obviously I still have thermal clips left. I should be able to use those 400 SMG "shots" for at least 8 sniper rifle "shots" simply by transferring the thermal clips between weapons.

The pilot/announcer knows where the last enemy of every wave is. Yet, he has no idea when there is more than one.

Consume medigel to revive yourself but reviving others consumes nothing. What are you actually doing when you revive a teammate?

Also, VIP husks.

Never thought of this!
Thanks so much, now it will bug me too!  So what does "universal" actually mean?

If taken to parallel universes, they will cease to function?

"Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend,
Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how
old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red
tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life
isn’t always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies
(don’t spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not
children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when
well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a
6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens
suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers
for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their
unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get
parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could
not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an
abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became
businesses and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common
Sense took a beating when you couldn’t defend yourself from a burglar in your
own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a
woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a
little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth
and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son,
Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now,
Someone Else Is To Blame, and I’m A Victim.

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he
was gone."

Here is something that doesn't make sense.

Cerberus Nemesis troops use the Raptor. Their raptor basically strips shields in 1 hit and kills you on the 2nd hit. (At least it seems to when I get hit and I'm assuming its 2 hits due to shield gate.) Yet the exact same raptor we get is a semi-automatic rifle that can barely 1 shot a trooper.

And you can't even tickle the enemies with a Phaeston, yet Marauders can tear you apart with that thing.

Reaper tech, obviously. :o

Why can't an Asari Justicar move her bubble around like Samara or Jack in ME2?

Also: how do ammo powers work in ME2 & ME3 because while I didn't play ME1 I'm pretty sure you had to pick up and equip special ammo to use it.

I bet TIM and Cerberus were behind the Thermal Clip downgrade.
Created a ton of businesses that sold Thermals and spread enough FUD to get all the races in the Galaxy to switch over.
Then spent the credits on outfiting enough Humans to take over the Galaxy.

Thats some Cheney & Halliburton type gangsta sheeeeit.
