I'm considering starting a second mage. My first one would basically solo everything with the other party members just being out of the way, and that's just silly. Furthermore, I found my single-target DPS lacking.

I'm therefore planning a new mage build that's more party-friendly. Elf, max Magic, Blood Mage, Spirit Healer. As for talents:

- Group Heal. It's awesome, I want it.
- The first 3 points in Blood Mage, I found Blood Control lacking.
- The whole glyph line. These are awesome.
- The whole hex line. These are also awesome.
- Death Cloud line so I can get Entropic Death for single-target DPS. Running with two mages with Death Hex should double the awesomeness. Also, I'm hoping Curse of Mortality is a good DoT.
- The first 3 points in fire.
- The first 3 points in ice.
- The Crushing Prison line.
- The whole arcane line. Free spellpower plus staff damage when I get lazy.

But what else? I'm definitely not taking more cast-time AoE, as I found that extremely boring the first time around. More CC perhaps? Anyone have any ideas/experiences to share?

I'm getting all tomes and the fade talent point as well, so if I'm not mistaken there should be a few points left.

Oh, here are some things I deliberately left out:

- Mana Clash. I never got to fight all those mages the first time around because of this. This time I want to try it :)
- Walking Bomb line. Cool but not so party-friendly.
- Waking Nightmare. If it does indeed sometimes mind control, I could lose XP. Don't want that. Besides, it has a tiny radius.
