I have obtained all of the lines I need for the proposal dialog from the very generous theskymoves. However I need to be able to edit them. Can this be done? Has anyone done it and how did they do it?
Can WAV files be edited?

Hi! I'm working on the very beginning stages of a mod called "Alistair down on one knee". (And yes DahilaLynn, Beerfish and a few others have been having some fun with the name.) Anywho.... Since I have restarted 2x already and today for extra special fun I get the "check engine light" on your car dashboard equalivent of an error from the toolset saying I should run the configure.exe. Still not fixed need to work on something else. Ok, really getting to the point now

What do you mean by edit? You mean, add/remove sound? Yes, through many programs. One good free one is called Audacity.

I guess I should ask can you take a line a dialog and remove a word or a phrase from it so the character would speak the line with the changes that you made. For example instead of AListair saying "I get to marry the woman I love" the line could be changed so he would say " I get to marry you".

Yes, you could do that--if you have the "you" part, and of course if you know what you're doing. There are tutorials and such though, and it shouldn't be too hard to do.

its very easy to edit wav files in the way you discribed.
but it could turn out quite difficult to make it sound natural.
