If they do add a blonde female I hope she has either short hair or her hair's in a pony tail. I hate long, blonde hair.

We with long blonde hair don't like you either ^_^

The fact that you like it at all doesn't speak well for you.

How so? I don't prefer it over the original nor do I really think it's necessary, but I can certainly say that as a stand-alone model it's pretty good given all the work it seems was put into it. Like if female Hawke had a desire to imitate Isabela -- due to a case of hero worship Image IPB -- and whatnot.

I guess the tan could make her more believable as a swashbuckling sailor/etc than that other pasty white/leopard print mod, but the need for 'whitification' still has unfortunate implications.

You know, i was willing to let this all die, but you just went too far. The template i used was a new female Hawk. She got to Kirkwall and went straight to the Black Emporium. Isabela has not been recruited for a side by side comparison. I don't wish to play her. Her only purpose in life is to serve as a template for female companion head morphs.

Her (Template Hawk) default skin tone is fairskin. I guessed on the slider. In most shots her face looked close to her body, in one it was light. I figured it was the lighting. It was not only my first head morph it was was my first modding attempt ever of any kind outside of editing. It took me all day to learn how. I suck at computers and am trying to learn. i got it wrong and have fixed it in my game.

I created her the day before this thread opened. I posted her as joke at the OP, who stated that Bioware hated blondes, because there was no blonde female companions.  Here comes this thread and i thought hey, i should of known better. I love Isabela too, or she wouldn't had been my protagonist(s) love interest 75% of the time. I took all the cracks about her looks, because i can take a joke. And some were funny. The zombie had me rolling on the floor.

And finally...How dare you suggest that i had racist movations. And don't try and say you didn't. When you use phrases like the 'need for whitification' and 'unfortunate implications', your implication is clear. You don't know me, my motivations nor my heritage. I am of a mixed heritage.

I would never purposely do something like that, after what happen to some of my ancesters, like my grandmother. Blonde hair and green eyes does not amount to 'whitification' I knew a girl in high school with those features and she was quite striking. Again, how dare you assume my motivation. End of Rant

lol, whatever you say bro. Ignoring that I'm not sure what relevance there is that Hawke is the template if it's still supposed to be Isabela, and that mixed people and minorities can still hold ingrained racist sentiments against their own ("pick the pretty doll"), and that blonde hair is a strikingly white characteristic, etc.

But you're right, I can't claim to know you personally. I just lumped you together off-hand with others who have done similar things and been a bit less ambiguous about their motivations. Though curious that you say you don't have a problem with those mods either, and that you felt the need to get rid of the offending material anyway, so sure were you that there was nothing to be offended by. Still, if you want me to give you the benefit of the doubt that 'variety' was the only motivation, if you even care, then sure.

How can I cosplay an awesome character if BioWare continues this discrimination against blonde women? I surely couldn't color my radiant golden locks!

PS: Give her long, curly hair as well. Straightening hair is a ****.

Because on the game screen, i had to start with Hawk, with no Isabela to stand side by side with. The Isabela preset starts fairskin. I assume for those who want fairskin, i don't. I guessed on the slider, i missed that mark. I really didn't realise it in game. It was more apparant in the screenshots. It was unintentional.

Skin color is no different to me than a yellow rose vs. a pink one. I notice they are different colors, and the beauty of them, but they are the same, DNA proves that. A lot of bad things have been done to people because of racism. I know there are people that still hate based on skin color, and that is just stupid. It's only skin. We are all the human race.

What makes a person is how they treat one another, what's in their heart. not pigment. It's just decoration, like hair color, eyes, and lips. There are still racists, just as there are people who automatically assume that every dispute between two people of different skin colors, is motivated by racism. Both are wrong. If people in this world can't get over their hatred over silly things like skin, then we are all doomed. It all so stupid.

("pick the pretty doll"), and that blonde hair is a strikingly white characteristic, etc.

It is but as i said, i knew a girl in high school (a long time ago) whose father was black and mother was white with blonde hair. She got both, and was quite beautiful. My current Hawk family have black hair, blue eyes. Aveline has red hair. I tried a nexus mod making Merrill with blonde hair, i didn't like it. Today i made my own Merrill with brown hair brown eyes. So i tried Isabela, with blonde. Four female companions, four different hair colors. I tried to give the companions different color armor as well. And i made Fenris a Drow. I like a colorful world.

But you're right, I can't claim to know you personally. I just lumped you together off-hand with others who have done similar things and been a bit less ambiguous about their motivations. Though curious that you say you don't have a problem with those mods either,

It depends on the motivation in the hearts of the users of those mods. I don't automatically judge someone as having bad motives. I give everyone the benefit of doubt, until they prove otherwise. They may have reasons that have nothing to do with racism. I'm sure some do though. And i'm sure some don't.

and that you felt the need to get rid of the offending material anyway, so sure were you that there was nothing to be offended by.

But some were offended, and i don't want to offend anyone. Instead of saying "Sorry, i didn't mean that way" Pulling the pics and moving on, i tried to explain myself. I always do that. It's one of my greatest failings, of which i have many.

Still, if you want me to give you the benefit of the doubt that 'variety' was the only motivation, if you even care, then sure.

Variety and a colorful gameworld. Thank you, and i do care, or i wouldn't have even posted after the pics in the first place.

Kinda wierd , seeing the male Isabella , I thought "HOT!".
I wouldn't mind having a male without shirt as a companion.
Since we had a female without pants ...
