No one in their right mind would think throw sucks.
someone here does. i forgot which thread but he said he doens't use throw on his fury cause throw sucks and when i said he's building it wrong he said there is no wrong way to build a character which is technically correct so i responded with true but there are smarter and more effective builds then others
I've also seen people skipping Dark Channel or only investing 3 ranks in it, wich is just as bad as skipping Throw on the Fury. I've also seen chargeless Vanguard builds (approved by Stardusk), skipping cluster grenades on the Drell, skipping proximity mine on the GI, and a crap load of other sub-optimal builds.
I usually just laugh it off and ignore that sort of stuff, but that's just me.
it depends on how to play it. some people would rather have fitness then dark channel. i could see that if your never gonna use it and just be up close. GIs don't need prox mines either. i just use them to debuff. tahts what they are good for but they aren't necessary, the drell one i don't get at all personally, a chargeless vanguard makes sense if your squshy but you can play their adept counterpart instead for that matter
Just because it can work, it doesn't make it any less sub-optimal.
Skipping proxy mine on the GI = intentionally gimping yourself.
And chargeless Vanguards are essentially gimped adepts.
Chargeless Novaguard = Bad idea, since you need Charge in order to keep on your Nova spam.
Chargeless Drellguard = lol, Reaveless Drell Adept.
Chargeless Asari = Could kinda work, but you are still gimping yourself when you skip Charge.
Chargeless Kroguard = Krogan Soldier without Inferno Grenades.
Chargeless Smashguard = Whats the point? Play the adept instead.
Chargeless Slayer = Another bad idea, since Phase Disruptor has a good synergy with Charge.
I'm not the one that tells people how to play the game, and if they are having fun playing with such bad character builds, that's fine with me. I do think, however, that they are effectively gimping themselves, be it knowingly or unknowingly.
