A real shame too the DLCs were fun to play.

Here is the annoucement:
http://social.biowar...index/10245444/
Mark Darrah says in the thread "We will try to bring some closure to Hawke's story but likely not in a playable form. Originally we had planned to do an expansion pack but had to stop to focus on what we are working on now. "

In short people where not buying the first two DLCs so they scraped the third.
I still think more people bought Legacy than MOTA. Alot of people were angry about MOTA.

I never played the DLCs (aside sebastian's I suppose) since I don't really feel inclined to spen money for DLCs for a game I didn't like, but I was under the impression that the response from others was pretty positive for the story DLCs. Might I ask what exactly people didn't seem to like about MOTA?Melca36 wrote...

Heard alot of people said it wasted a good dlc when they could have used it to resolve Hawke's story.

I recently played through DA2 again and picked up the 2 DLC packs. Legacy was awesome, really fun. Interesting story and atmosphere with lots of good fighting.
MOTA was ok, but I stopped playing it 2-3 times before I finally got through it. The new elf companion was really, really annoying.

I can't speak for everyone, but my personal problem with MotA was the fact it was so completely out of place.Amycus89 wrote...

The entire Dragon Age II story, and Legacy, revolves around Hawke. It's Hawke's story, Hawke's history, Hawke's experiences, Hawke's friends and family. It's all Hawke, all the time, that was the entire point of the game.
Mark of the Assassin, by comparison, is all about Tallis. Setting aside any personal opinions on Tallis as a character, the problem i had was that she swooped out of nowhere, stole the protagonist mantle from Hawke and began parading it around with gusto.
Mark of the Assassin was Tallis' story, all about Tallis' history. Tallis' experiences, Tallis' beliefs, Tallis' mission. Tallis, Tallis, Tallis, Tallis. Hawke was nothing but a tag along companion in Tallis' story.
Having the focus of the story shift so dramatically, even for a short DLC pack, is something that i just didn't like. That's why i, personally, disliked Mark of the Assassin.
On topic: There will be no new DLC packs for Dragon Age II. The Extended DLC Pack "The Exalted March" was cancelled a short time ago.

Also in MoTA no matter what you do it always ends the same with you helping a group that wants to kill and inslave all of Thedas.
This... incidentally this is why I didn't buy MoTA. I really hoped the devs had heeded peoples calls for choice and consequence, and that was something they really could have adressed with these dlcs but they didn't. Which makes me worried for DA3

Hmm. I believe that Tallis states:
I am not doing it for the qunari!
But she states that she believe in the qun! Working together for a common goal! To benefit all and not only one race or people...
Sooo saying that the DLC forces you help the qunari doesn''t seem right to me.... To me she seems to be an elf with strong conviction in unity for the best outcome for all. Some might even call her a democrat.

Also agree with Sylvanpyxie about MotA being Tallis' story and not Hawkes.
I enjoyed all the DLC, Legacy story-wise and MotA new elements (puzzle/steath) and some good comedic lines imo.
I hope the rumors are true that pieces or concepts of the cancelled 'March' DLC/expansion will make their way into DA3.

I haven't played MotA, but I just played Legacy and really liked it. I thought it was a vast improvement over the main game in story telling and gameplay.

Legacy >>>>>>>> MotA
MotA was ok but I think 800 points for it is way too much. Whole thing is worth 200-300 at most. Not a lot of content there.

Aside from the Tallis bits, I had fun with MotA. Duke Prosper and Baron Arlange were memorable characters. I just wished that she wasn't a forced member of the party, and could have just made appearances in the cut scenes.
It seemed as if the whole point of MotA was to promote Tallis and DA: Redemption.

With this some decisions from the remainder of Hawkes Story would be easier to write consequences without import bugs from Dragon Age 2.^^

This sums up how I feel, I did like the improvements to the game, but the direction change with the story left me frustrated. I can't speak for everyone, but Felica Day probably isn't a bad person, but I swear anytime she appears her character is exactly the same and thats boring as well.

Do wish we could have gotten a final dlc to wrap it up. Even something quite short would have worked great. One final quick mission for your Hawke and possibly romantic interest that hints at what's to come and caps it off. Sort of like Witch Hunt.
