There is no way to side with the Orlisians over Talis right? Is there any way at all ti screw over Talis so she doae not get what she wants? Cuz I have tO say no matter what I would not help the Qunari. Me and by extenshion my Hawke would much rather side with anyone iver the Qunari to keep them out of Thedas...

nope, she always gets the list. You can threaten to kill her but that's it (which means, you aren't working with her or the Qunari).

For me, that was the big disappointment with Mark of the Assassin. I know MotA has plenty of detractors, but I did enjoy it overall. Yet, at the very least, even if Hawke and co. "had" to be forced into a fight with the Orlesian duke, Hawke should've had the option to keep the papers and either abandon Tallis or potentially end up fighting her.

Too bad you can't kill Tallis when you first meet her and somehow still get to play through the dlc.

I remember that I told Tallis that she should hand the list over....but I don't she ever did. However, at a cross road sectionbefore the end of this dlc, you had a choice (as Hawke) to work with her or to say that she's on her own. If you told her to go away, she would go away, and you wouldn't see her again before the game was nearly over. I especially liked this part.....
Also, the list, as I remember it was lost of people sympathetic to the Qunari's - ehm - cause? living in Orlais? If this list were to fall into the hands of - cough - the Orlais counts, who knows how many people, innocent or not they, the Orlais, may have killed, because they - and their families - were put on a list.
