I ask this question because to me it just seems like the Fury's melee attacks are buggy/suck. For a character that preforms best at CQC, her melees aren't all that great, her light melee in particular.
As it stands, unlike most other melees, the Fury's light melee will only track/hit a target when they are at point blank range. Once the tracking has started, the Fury will automatically rotate in order to follow the target, but at no point does she ever actually move from the point in which she started the attack.
For more characters, not tracking on light melee isn't that big of an issue, but for the Fury it really is. Her counterpart, the Slayer, has a very similiar light melee, except it is slower and he uses a sword. The real difference however, is that the Slayer's light melee actually manages to track the target, meaning that every time he warps to attack, he moves in front of the targetted enemy, as long as they are within a few meters. The Fury on the other hand will just continue to warp in place and 'dance' even if the enemy is just two meters away. For most characters this isn't really much of an issue since (depending on the weapon) they just do a quick jab with their weapon (pistol whip, rifle butt, etc) and they can easily dodge-cancel their attack.
The Fury on the other hand, has a fixed animation that MUST be played through before she can dodge, and if you hit the melee button more than once, you have to sit through her doing mutliple attacks, even if she is hitting nothing, before you can dodge or move, which leaves you open to fire. The same is true for her heavy melee, which she 'staggers' at the end of the animation for a split second, leaving her open to fire from any enemies she didn't hit or stagger.
So do you guys think that the Fury's melee is bugged and that it's supposed to function like the Slayer's? Or was it intentional, without realizing just how bad it is?
