I'm gonna laugh when the damage reduction is nothing more than reverting it to its pre-buff value (which was already stupid strong) and people still cast up a ****storm about it.

You don't know how much they are going to nerf it. It could be the other way (nerfed straight to hell).

How about fixing the Earth DLC Gear drop rates?

Surely someone important at Bioware has been made aware of this?

And if they aren't fixed, then reclassify them as Ultra-Rare since they drop less often than Ultra-Rare weapons.

Thank you comment for being lost in another 20-page thread.

RIP to the Piranha

And RIP to the Typhoon.

These constant nerfs have nearly killed my interest in the MP. At least Resident Evil 6 is coming soon, and I don't plan on playing it's MP, just the SP game.

I do thank BioWare for fixing the EMS where I don't need the MP anymore.

I will miss it, however. I really enjoyed it...until the constant nerfing started.:pinched::(

why increase damage week 1 than decrease 2 weeks later????? pointless LOL

Rolling it back makes sense.  Why it happened in the first place is a mystery however.

It's because these "balance changes" are really just trial and error tests. They really don't have a clue as to how to balance this game at all. There been multiple instances where they've nerfed something only to buff it a few weeks later or buff something and then nerf it at a later time. It clearly shows their inexperience with a multiplayer game. Yeah it's fun, but it's fun is starting to wear off due to all the bs that comes along with it.

Well it looks like people who like to whine over guns other people use that affect them in no way (as if that makes any sense whatsoever) have won again.

Carnage (Base) (Armor=150%, Barrier=50%, Shields=50%)
Incinerate (Base) (Armor=150%, Barrier=50%, Shields=50%)

Epic facepalm. BW's balance team understands balance like my dog understands nuclear fusion.

Pattern recognition.  It's called "pessimism" by people who don't possess it.

All humans possess pattern recognition.

Yep.  Their complete lack of experience with multiplayer game balancing really shows a lot of the time, and while I'm a huge fan of the idea of trying to achieve a reasonable level of balance for the sake of game longevity, the way they've gone about it has been spotty at best.  Oddly the last few weeks have been some of their worst, even though conventional wisdom would suggest that five months of experience should have made them better at it.

Yes.  This.  EXACTLY this.  I never used to have a problem with balance changes.  I actually looked forward to Tuesdays.  It's only lately that it's fubar.

The first rule of co op games is "what is good for the goose is good for the gander." decrease the power of a great weapon and everyone's chances of winning decrease just a little bit. So I agree whole heatedly with you. Why complain about people killing too much when you are benefitting? I love it when someone is killing better than me, makes my job easy. I am not talking about missle flinching though.

And I have a thought to the people at BW. How do you justify decreasing the power of guns to people who do actually spend microsoft points on these packs? I personally do not, but I have met people who have spent hundreds of dollars to get certain guns. And now these guns are being "balanced." I don't expect an answer, I'm just curious is all.

If the nerf isn't going to increase weight or spread then a damage reduction isn't too bad, unless it's like a massive nerf then I say kill all Nerfducks.

I agree. There seems no rhyme or reason beyond.

This what people are using.

This is what they score on average with it.

Nerf/buff accordingly.

Indeed.  Most weeks were mostly much needed buffs.  Often those buffs were underwhelming, but at least they were a step in the right direction.  And most of the time when they nerfed something it was modest and more or less understandable (the Falcon nerf excluded).  For some reason of late they've shifted their approach to more and bigger (a.k.a. excessive) nerfs with even fewer buffs to compensate.  It's not encouraging at all.

What's this? Yet another tremendously fun weapon is about to get nerfed? Kinda annoying but meh, whatever. Dawnguard hit PC last week, Guild Wars 2 comes out August 28th, Borderlands 2 September 18th, Dishonored October 9th, Assassin's Creed 3 October 30th, older games picked up during Steam sales, there's plenty of other games to devote our time and attention to.

You guys give us awesome weapons and then you nerf them....disappointing.

I hope there are some buffs this week as well because these some of these nerfs are starting to turn me off to the game...

Well, this was the buff in July. Will be intresting to see where the nerf brings it.

Piranha Shotgun
-Damage increased from [63.6-79.6] to [70.9-88.7]

All I want is an increase in the drop rate of respec cards.

Between the constant nerfs and the influx of N7 100's that flood gold and platinum now, SP is looking better and better when I pop the ME3 disc in.

[*]Piranha damage reduction.

Wait a second, ... that doesn't make sense. First you buffed the weapon damage after you released it and now you are going to nerf it again?

Do you have any idea what you are doing? Because evidently, you didn't at one point or the other.

^----- Exactly this -----^

BioWare is pro-pro in trolling their players, clients, buyers....(fans ? - do they still have any?)
