I'm just more annoyed that they can fail to keep on schedule on a simple thing like balance changes which only involve tweaking numbers. Seriously, is it that hard to not delay every second balance change?

I am still trying to grasp the idea of ok I made this game, then i made new weapons for it but for some reason i have NO CLUE HOW IT WILL PERFORM until someone else uses it, and then i will respec it to fit what i think are the correct numbers a couple of weeks down the road, so everyone who uses it will have to readjust.. anyone ever seen the movie Idiocracy?

Once again... Pattern recognition. It's called "pessimism" in people that don't have it.

I officially hate Bioware. Everything that was golden has been turned to crap. I stopped playing with adepts due to the explosion nerfs and lack of connecting biotics in general. I stopped playing with infiltrators because they nerfed tactical cloak. I stopped playing with the Krysae due to the obvious nerf. I finally got my slayer and he was made for the Piranha, now they're going to nerf THIS gun. I guess we're all supposed to play with lackluster guns on half the classes. Indirectly forcing me to play as either an Engineer, Soldier or Sentinel doesn't make me think too kindly of this company.

It's bad enough I have to rule out playing with the Vanguard class as a whole because you refuse to acknowledge the infamous Vanguard glitch. Go to hell.

Pattern recognition isn't what you seem to think it is, and it's proven to be a very misleading way of perceiving the world in many cases.  It's really not something to hang an argument on.  I'll say that much.

By the way, every human being with a functioning brain has some form of pattern recognition.

Just want to comment on this line. I think the reason it's the "go to" gun right now is because it works on every class. For a change. You never seen casters whipping out a Krysae but they do get a chance to do some hurting with this one. It's fun to play this way. I like that.

I've been extensively using this on every class since the wails of 'nerf it' started. On several of the weapons based classes it is a touch over the top. Some, way over the top. On casters though...it's just about right. It allows you to finally wade into the thick of things instead of the duck > spam > detonate > fire pistol until CD is cycled routine. Frankly I'd much prefer Bioware to look at tempering it when used on the classes that have inherent accuracy, damage, and RoF perks before a blanket bashing that kills its viability for all classes.

Have to wait until the changes are posted though before we can finally see how it affects them all.

Well, now you'll only see the Pirahna on Geth Infiltrators on gold and platinum, because most other classes will completely and utterly suck with it. And the fact that you must use the smart choke on the Pirahna to make it work just tells you how good this weapon is in reality.

I mean, come on, it's only good if you use the right setups for it, it is of course a very good weapon on a GI spec for full weapon damage and proxy mines. To make it really good on platinum you'll still need Shotgun Amp V, Shotgun Rail Amp III and Armor Piercing Rounds IV.

Try using it on a Drell Vanguard spec for power damage and no smart choke or equipment and we'll see how good it is.

F*ck this, I'm putting this game on the shelf for a while. I've spent like 20 million credits during the last week and got 4 Ultra Rares. I maxed out my gear today. The store is a big joke and I'm sure I'm going to need another 20-40 million credits to get all my Ultra Rares up to level 10. If you're going to have the store the way it is then don't you f*cking nerf all the good weapons that makes it easier to get credits to "waste". Nerf on Krysae was a joke, nerf on Typhoon was a joke, to even think of nerfing the Pirahna now, well, that's just trolling right there. Image IPB

You're actually pointing at one of the issues with the gun.  Namely that it is better than every other gun for pretty much every class, including power spammers.  You may like it, but the truth is that it is causing massive weapon stagnation which is not good for the game.

GI needs the nerfing, not the Piranha. How is this not obvious? And before all you TC nerf whiners start, the TC nerf barely affected damage-focused infiltrators. It took off 10% damage bonus from TC, and 15% only for sniper rifles. That's all.
I found the Piranha was fairly balanced by its inaccuracy, but I guess I'll just find a different weapon to use.

As opposed to all these posts by pissed off users who are either quitting because they're sick of playing Nerf Effect or are desperately biting their nails waiting for the next game they can hop to.

That's good for the game.  Somehow.  I guess it'll be less stress on the servers since barely anyone uses them?

Its what they do.  Why even have diffent looking guns if all you get in an M-8 Avenger?!  It may not look like an avenger, but in essence its damage is the same.  Seriously - it gets old.  They have nerfed EVERY gun in the game.  I just don't get why.

They should just leave stuff alone - I honestly think that MP would be more fun if you had the chance to earn some really uber weaponry.....   and keep it.  As it is - we earn boss weapons - for about 2 days.  Then they nerf it into an M-8.  Why even try for new guns if all they are going to do is kill it?  I slave to get stuff, suffer a terrible RNG system that only favors millionaires - and then it all gets taken from me.

Image IPB  I'm not happy with them.  I don't hate them - but I really am fed up with the constant smurfing and nerfing.

It is a shame that you feel it necessary to reduce the damage of the Piranha that so many people love in it's current form. Ah well, if you must BioWare...

I have a better fix for the piranha, give it the weight of the crusader and give the crusader the weight of the piranha.

What you are referring to is the fallout of them overnerfing the Krysae and Typhoon in recent weeks.  That's also bad for the game.  Doesn't change that the current state of the Piranha is not healthy.  And while were at it we can talk about the discouraging lack of buffs to all the crappy weapons and powers that have been crappy since release and will seemingly be crappy until the game dies.  There's lots of problems with ME3 MP right now, and most of it is the result of BW's gross mismanagement, but let's not confuse one issue with another.

That's the fault of other weapons that have been stagnant for ages then. Honestly, if more guns did what this one does they would all get a their fair share of use. With all the enemy buffs and laughable weapons buffs it's no wonder people flock to one of the few that truly behaves like a weapon. And a good one at that.

Also note that I did not say it was perfect. It's close - for casters. This makes it a game changer as I outlined above. You can get in deeper instead of the whack-a-mole playstyle that a lot of casters have to endure now. That aside, without actual numbers provided by Bioware I can only assume that the classes that are really skewed using it now are the weapons specialists. They gain the most from it. They should be looked at the closest.

The Piranha was not overpowered. It was overused, because every other gun in the game is underpowered. There I said it.
