New Firefight Guns

I mean, I don't wanna complain about the new badass guns (I still prefer the Adas over the harrier because they deal similar dps, but the Adas has more ammo)
You may know Grunt's quote from the ME3 rachni mission: "I don't need luck- I have ammo!"´
I didn't really bother with the geth smg and I won't give up on the Javelin/Black widow --> no use for automatic sniper rifle, since Javelin X with piercing mod and ammo can go through almost ANY cover (and whoever came up with that highlighting enemies THROUGH cover is a genius- makes many missions very simple- just kill them off before they get out of the shuttle/whatever

"This weapon is OP and that weapon is OP".... Seriously, it cant have nothing to do with the player being a skilled player?
There really isnt much skill involved with a rifle that will put pain downrange near instantly. The only way to outclass the Harrier is to have some prodigious twitch skill with single shot weapons like the Mattock, or if you are on PC, set your scroll wheel to fire the weapon and watch lead fly faster than **** can hit the fan.

Unfair against whom exactly? This is single player we're talking about, there is no fair or unfair, there's just play style and enjoyment.
Don't like a gun because you don't like how good it is and you want a challenge, use a different weapon.
I've stopped caring about MP because every good, fun aspect off it is ruined by a bunch of miserable, whining tossers complaining about anything good until its ruined, simply because they don't see a difference between fun and difficult.
Frankly, paying money for crappy versions of weapons that should logically be better than their free counterparts, when there is literally zero possibility of this "unfairly" effecting someone who hasn't paid a premium for them really ticks me off.
This. Just read that the Piranha got nerfed. I will be playing transformers FoC from now on for my multiplayer fix, and ME3 for my sp fix. I am done with all these babies crying for nerfs, they took all the fun out of the multiplayer game...

Both harier and ADAS are very good. Hmm is ammo a concern in single player? As i played mostly with the particle rifle so i do not remember if ammo can be a concern in some of the SP levels.
IIRC the big issue with ammo I found is that it isn't predictable - sometimes enemies drop it, sometimes they don't, you can never be sure. That said, the only AR I ever actually noticed ammo problems was the Harrier, and I only noticed that because I was using it so much.
Honestly, I've no idea how to choose between the Particle Rifle and the Harrier - they're so powerful and so similar, just wish I could carry both at once. Typically I dislike alien weapons and I quite like the Cerberus aesthetic, but the big issue I have to decide is whether I want vast firepower immediately and for short periods, or have to wait for vast firepower to charge up but with unlimited ammo. Hard choice.Binary_Helix 1 wrote...
Harrier is like a ME2 assault rifle (actually good) the rest had to be balanced around non-soldiers hence why they suck.
Not sure about that - IMHO the Cerberus Harrier is the ME1 Spectre HMWAR X reborn.
Ah jaeger, you have put into words the issue i have. Im so conflicted between the harrier and the particle rifle.

I'm not surprised, they're almost the same gun.

Now it sits between the two guns, it doesnt have harrier dmg or particle rifles hyber mode dmg, but it still does decent dmg front loaded. It doesnt have particle rifle infinite ammo or harriers pitiful low ammo but in between.
So fa its working alright

How bad is the ammo issue for Harrier in the SP?
'Bad' probably isn't the right term to use. It's noticeable... even if you take armour pieces/bonus power evolutions to increase ammo supply, but its hard to draw the line between ammo problems being caused by a low ammo limit and ammo problems coming from sheer amount of use. The Particle Rifle saw similar amounts of use, but since its ammo regenerates on its own, its not something you notice.
The basic thing to remember with the Harrier is that, if you think you'll like it, you probably will.

Yup 130 bullets look good on paper, but the sheer use of it it vanishes ASAP and if i try to play conservative ammo style, particle rifle becomes better. The problem is ammo count and the use of the said ammo.

Funnily enough, its a similar problem I run into with the Black Widow and Carnifex - not particularly small ammo pools but its performance is so good that its gets a hell of a lot of screen time.

Well, the only thing one can do then is be efficient, since we don't get too many ammo crates in SP (but hey, wouldn't be much fun the other way, aye?).

The problem is there isn't really a good way of 'being efficient' with the Harrier, as regardless of how good a shot you are, it chews through its ammo supply like popcorn....
...not that the Particle Rifle does any different, its just the Harrier's ammo supply doesn't come back after a few seconds

Same for me. I actually get more headshots with my Carnifex than any of my sniper rifles lol.

ammo issue for the harrier? put the harrier on with someone with powers so if you run out of ammo you have an alternative. im an adept atm and im using the harrier only once did i run out of ammo and that was because of geth primes.
It could be worse. Honestly I what is probably nothing more than a minor issue with the weapon may just be the average experience for someone scrollwheeling their Mattock.

I am wondering the whole time from where I know the the spk abbreviation ... care to give a hint. You can do it in german too if you'd feel better elaborate to give me some cryptic hints and imagine my head squirm around to make sense of it.
