Like the title, I need a new controller.  My kids dropped my control so one of the bumper buttens is less effective, doesn't always depress.  Is there any performance or delay difference between wired and wireless, as I'd go wired if it really benefited performance in any measureable difference.

No difference; not in my experience. Get a rechargeable pack if you go wireless, though. I have burned through AA's pretty quickly.

I can't say I notice any delay with wireless controllers compared to the typical lag from being a non-host.

No difference at all. Get a wireless & a charge pack so you don't always have to buy batteries. I've never noticed any delays when pressing a button to seeing the effect on screen.

All the above.  The Xbox wireless controller is excellent.

It's nice not to constantly be consuming batteries, but wireless is a good way to go.

You won't notice any difference in performance between wired and wireless. In my experience they perform the exactly the same. I have, and still use both (when batteries run out for wireless), so I'd say it's personal preference.

There might be a delay of a few milliseconds if you were 25+ feet away from your console, but for all intents and purposes there is no difference.

You could always get a wireless controller and a play and charge kit to get the best of both worlds.

get the GOOD RECHARGABLES *glares at cheap batteries* also sometimes the battery slot comes loose causing your controler to die as if the batteries had run out, super annoying and can be random.

If you're playing across the street and using a telescope to look at the TV while you play. You might notice a delay.

None that I know. Just get the charger "plug and play" kit. Don't want it to die while in a match, and you can play and charge at the same time.

If one performed better than the other, Bioware would find a way to nerf it.

Yeah, unless you're far away, there's no noticeable difference.

Also, your avatar is purdy.

No problems, but use rechargeable batteries or packs for sure.

This is true.  I've tried it.

I use a wired wireless controller with the bateries removed.

It reduces the weight a lot of making the controller more comfortable for long sessions.

If you're going wireless, use these:

I've used wireless ever since 360 came out - no issues and has a surprising range. Get the rechargeable battery packs (it's only like $20 for the pack + cable - you can just plug it in wired with the cable to charge it and keep playing.)
