Oh my bad :P I just assumed the speed record involved 4x GI, congrats then :) i still would like to see a none infiltrator team beat this record though :)

Well point to a non-infiltrator class that can give an almost permanent 100% damage bonus just through passives and cloak.

Some people are a little jelly, I'm sure we can use any class and throw a good time up...and I'm sure there are classes and load outs we can run and get 11-12 mins no problem. The ones we used just happened to be the most effective at the time.

I have played many Platinum games, and what I see in your vid is that enemies have a slower reactiontime for actions they do than on PC. Maybe I am really wrong, but anyone else that plays PC sees this as well? To me it just seems sometimes you survive situations that you wouldn't on PC just because the enemies are too slow acting. I will need to get me a coalesced file from an XBOX somehow and compare it to the PC one.

Once again look at the video. 20 rockets were used. Each netting between 5-8 kills. They only have the 50 kill medal meaning they have between 50 and 74 kills. They got between 25 and 40 kills using the Missile Launcher and a good amount through the Proximity Mine (that thing does Claymore level damage when in Cloak except over a 6-9 meter total circumference [3-4.5m radius] and with the ability to set of elemental explosions) and the Nades.

Bechter also favours the Harrier if you actually paid attention to the video... Very little kills actually come from the gun. Next to none come from the gun after Wave 5. (bar Wave 11)

Funny, I use to think the same thing looking a PC gameplays but in the end, I believe we are just seeing what we wanna see. I love the speedruns, solo's and guides from Xbox and PC so no hate at all.
Good time you guys and thanks to Team Arelex for some of the invites. It does take more than most think to complete speedruns in good times. The regular people I play with everyday could not achieve times like these easily (and their pretty good players).

it only shows ultimate build that directly contradicts MP microtransaction business model...

Greed driven MP will not tolerate this build, so by multiplayer nerf changes they will cure and protect profits...

speed run videos = narrow tunnel vision

No **** sherlock... they are used to the best effect with heavy spawn control, nuking and focus fire. You don't get 10 minute runs by simply running and gunning without strategy -_-

Nice video but one little question :

Why gollum carry the scorpion/densified ammunition for only 10 shots ? this shot in this wave is so important to lose some cooldown and 3% weapon ?

I don't see one gollum kill with his scorpion.

It isn't about which class is the "coolest" or least boring.
It's a speed run; let them have their fun and competition. Try to comprehend
what exactly they are trying to accomplish instead of throwing out your opinions
on what you see as "fair". Skill is skill no matter how simple the
task, Doing this does take a legitimate level of skill.

To team AreleX: That is an awesome speedrun and it is quite inspiring to me. I say
ignore the newbs and try to remain humble yet awesome about your
accomplishments, or else you'll end up looking more like your degrading everyone
else instead of presenting your achievements.

for what? 5sec of fame, selfish self promoting...

when damage outweighs the benefits it's not progressive for this community...

That wave 7 was awful, had a delay spawn, followed by another split spawn.
Usually his pistol would work a lot better, but the enemy spawns it gave us showed otherwise.

A Phantom killer. Infiltrators have no use for cooldowns so why not? Sometimes things don't go smoothly and rockets are used more than once or twice before Wave 7 (namely during objectives) at which point you can't afford rockets on Wave 7. Scorpion comes in handy as a Phantom killer and spawn nuker. Phantoms are tanky as hell and are hard to kill with the Piranha. (They have an 80% DR Godmode flip which they use almost constantly, it's like a Kai Leng conga line...)

Not that it's the case but why should they care if it's for the good of the community or not, if speed runs are what they find fun then why shouldn't they do it? If things get balanced because of a speed run video the only thing you can blame is Bioware for not testing the weapons before releasing them.

Those are two words that shouldn't be used in the same sentence. A vancouver speedrun would probably be slightly longer than a White one (probably similar time as a Reactor one). There hasn't been enough time or effort spent in terms of how to control the spawns there though. I also highly doubt any of us care enough about that ugly ass abomination to care.

I'm not saying it's out of the question but remember it took a good month or so for Glacier spawn pattern to be perfected. Now you can freely experiment without worrying too much about effing up spawns and endangering other players. (blocking X spawn point will normally always activate Y.
