 Guys,
      I am trying to create a new character in ME2 and whenever I choose male, it skips the screen where I select the class. 

This does not happen with female shepard.

Any thoughts?

That's not enough information. Start from the description of how tp report and take things from there.

Did you import a Mass Effect 1 save or a Mass Effect 2 save? If it's the latter, you start with the class from your last ME2 playthrough at the level you were at.
