I did not play the demo. I didn't even know ME3 had multiplayer until I saw it in the main menu.

Are you serious? You must not have touched the forums from fall of last year until after you saw that--because MP was being talked about then.

I remember wanting the Widow so bad. I used Human Infiltrator all the time, and then I finally got the Widow, I was able to shoot through Guardian's shields!

Also, discovering the charge + nova for the first time and dominating the battlefield because we didn't have any powerful characters of weapons such as the current ones.

Then I unlocked the Krogan, and melee'd everything into the stratosphere. Good times.

I didn't know that BSN had forums until late March. The only reason I made this account was because something to do with ME2 content.

That is utterly fascinating.

But...but dude...that shield has a little slot that's perfect for Viper sniping.;)

All I ever played was Human Infiltrator. I remember using like Mantis XI and just spamming the Sticky Grenade everywhere, and smiling so much when I got triple Guardian kills with it. Having my Novaguard teammate distract an Atlas so I could run up, cloaked, plant a sticky on its back and flee.

I met PSN friends that I still have today from that demo.

Everybody commented at how the Revenant was a joke. The thinking was it might be good against other factions. LOL, no.

Sometimes I wish it was still the demo, it wasn't as "crazy" as it seems now.

i could be wrong here, but I THINK each character had its own level in the demo ( for example, i could have had a 15 human adept and a level 11 asari)
i didnt play it that long so i could be wrong, if anyone can positively verify this either way please do.

I used to play novaguard and was dreaming about the Asari Vanguard, that seemed to have singularity and charge for BE mayhem that would kill Atlases in a whim.

... little did I know back then.

It was magical. The people who got to an N7 of 120 and everyone thought that they were invincible.

Well, the only "new" (ME3-introduced) weapon at that time was the Hornet. If you could get past the recoil, it was the best SMG in the demo.

Other weapons were:

Predator
Mantis
Katana
Avenger
Shurikan
Mattock
Phalanx
Tempest
Viper
Revenant
Claymore
Widow
Carnifex

I think that's all of them. Unsure whether the Eviscerator or Scimitar were there either. Eviscerator was in the campaign demo, but I don't know about the MP.

I remember the system operated in the exact same way it does now.
The only difference is that Promote isn't permanently greyed-out now.

Back in my day we used the avenger I, had to carry 350 lb packs on our back, didn't have all these fancy mods for our weapons. We used them bare and naked like you're suppose to. Silver was hard, and gold was next to impossible. An atlas was a scary thing and most of the time we didn't have any rockets. Just our guns and our wits.

You whipper snappers don't realize how good you have it *taps cane on ground*

Oh and we also had to walk barefoot in the snow backwards to get to the landing zone.  We didn't get these so called "pizza deliveries", they didn't even give us peanuts.

:( no text chat.
Seeing as I can bind a key, maybe they're still working on implementing it?

Veteran packs were KING.

Also, the Widow was my most desired weapon.

On Gold didn't it take 2 cobras to kill an atlas? I can't remember.

No, but it seemed that way because people hadn't learned it "aim at the ground, not the target" trick yet. So a lot of cobra shots went wild when your aim got threw off at the last second.

When you first started to play demo and opened your Starter pack and you saw Turian Sentinel, my friends were so jealous :P

My demo memories:

-The first time I played as a Krogan..........SO DAMN FUN. I laughed non-stop for that entire game.

-Taking a melee build for my Asari Adept because AOE MELEE IS AWESOME!!!!!

-SI + AA dominating on Gold.

-HI with Claymore......I should really dig this guy out some time.

-Nova-cancelling my way to victory vs. a horde of Phantoms

-#1 ranked player in NZ for N7 ranking....with the screenshots to prove it.

Claymore Krogan Soldier was so damn fun. It's still my favorite class setup now even though it's not that great.

Everybody played novaguard or stasis sniper AA.

I found the MP in the demo to be better than the full thing.
Thought, the full-game MP was okay until they started with the DLCs. That ruined the whole thing in my opinion.

I remember running around as a human sentinel heavy meleeing and one-shotting everything with my melee build... fun times.

That was on bronze however.

Like someone said earlier: no one knew what they were doing. You couldn't promote or get reset cards, so once you set your character, there was no turning back. This led to a lot of confusion and advices that seem terrible in hindsight. No one was able to do Gold for a while, and when they did, Bioware said only 1 percent of attempts were successful. First recorded Gold solo was almost 2 hours with a Widow X (which seemed impossible to get for most people since only Recruit and Veteran Packs were available.)

Claymore was considered garbage by most. People begged for Stasis to be nerfed (and it did get nerfed eventually.) Bioware said Infiltrators could probably solo at the cost of not being as team oriented. Lots of people thought the weapon weight reduction passives were calculated from the weapon weights individually. Novaguard's nova canceling was known about and they were everywhere because they tore up Bronze and Silver. A lot of people's hosted games had no one join so they had trouble filling up their parties if they have a few friends with them.
