Put so many hours into the demo. Definately the best demo ever!

Agree, one of the best demo I've played along with Unreal Tournament.

It was such a complete game in itself that we used to joke about how much we couldnt wait for the DLC

The demo days were fun, but one faction and only two maps really got old after a while. I remember that my favorite character to play was my Krogan Soldier in pink armor.

Also, people were begging to have their progress/N7 level and unlocks carry over from the demo. The pouting was incredibly amusing when BioWare said no. :P

The incisor was the gun I finished my first gold match with, along with a salarian inflitrator. won't even bother to try that now.

Text chat was bound to T. People in th tech support forums asked why text chat didn't work. Turns out the game didn't even have text chat, just a key binding.

It was great. No magnet grabs or InvinciGeths.

The demo was fun and, as most have said, full of fresh players who were still learning the ropes (i.e. silver gave many people a lot of trouble). I remember I had my heart set on playing a quarian infiltrator in an effort to recreate one of my fictional ME characters. Alas, only the quarian engineer was available and so began my journey towards what would become my favorite class in the game.

What was it like during the "Demo days?" Unfortunately I didn't know ME3 even had multiplayer until I saw it on the main menu screen.
Someone told me it felt different back then. I remember reading you could only fight Cerberus.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to type out some cool stories you might have to tell from them. Thanks in advance.

I remember it was only FB white and ghost. I think all 3 enemies were available but i don't rememeber fo certain. I know they reset eveyrhting you unlocked during the demo. and I remember thinking bronze was the ahrdest thing ever and i would never pass it lol

Phantoms were difficult on bronze.

Agreed with everyone talking about how hard bronze was. Also, no specter packs. If you wanted that Krogan Soldier you had to get it in a Veteran Pack

Vanguards could stagger Gold Phantoms with area charge.

Those were the days.

-Salarian Infiltrator was king.
-A group of friends would be sweating after completing a Silver match. Gold seemed like miles away.
-When anyone got a Krogan, they made it pink and headbutted everything.
-Novaguards EVERYWHERE.

Back then, the most coveted weapon was the revenant.

The Revenant.

I found the demo to be much harder than the retail game is. Seems like they dumbed down the difficulty quite a bit.

Ok only wondered because you are a pretty active forum member.

ps: Why did you block me :crying:.

I am also blocked by theillusiveman11 :crying:.  I figured it was something to do with general profile settings the Cerberus network firewall, or something - can't recall saying anything especially offensive!

Apparently it doesn't take much, as I'm also on his blocked list.

On topic, I really wish I had started during the demo.  I downloaded it, but never got around to trying it.  Was too distracted by other games.  I also didn't start MP right away.  It was probably a couple of weeks after release.  I was near the end of the game, wasn't ready for it to be done yet, and decided to try this "multiplayer" thing.  Since then, I've taken a couple of short breaks to play other games, but most of my gaming time has been spent in ME3 MP.

 You only fought cerberus.
You only have firebase white and fire base (can't remember the name, but it's the place with all the cube homes and stuff)

It was really ****ing fun.

Hell yeah!!! I was an Asari Adept with Carnifex (scope/barrel). Killed everyone!

It was a historic time though. Not only the ME universe introduced their MP, the NERFERS also enters the Mass Effect world. :crying:

If people had known about the other two factions, the stasis nerf calls would have been more subdued.

I remember how hard it was to get the Krogan Soldier. I actually got him on the last day. Then my first Spectre Pack in the retail version had a Krogan Soldier.

It was absolutely beautiful. No awful "balance" changes. No farming. People were genuinely intimidated by higher difficulties and didn't overstep their limitations. People utilized strategy and had their microphones on in public games.. Those were the glory days, and thinking back really makes me sad at how crappy the game evolved from what it could have been..

A lot of FBW. I guess not much has changed.
