Ahhh...

Carnifex was a god tier weapon. If you had a Widow - holy ****! Asari Adept was everyones favorite. Everyone was scared of Gold. No Geth to farm. No nerfs.

Good times, good times...:crying:

The thing that I really liked about the demo was how everyone stayed together an worked as a team. These days, even on Ghost and White, people are too quick to run off in their own corner of the map and do their own thing. I liked how, in the demo, people were more apt to work as a team.

I've gotten my fair shair of unhappy BSNers messaging me. I have a hard enough time helping admining two active Facebook groups without having to deal with people like that. So I figured blocking people who gave a less than happy reply to my comments might prevent the messages from happening.
Apparently it doesn't take much, as I'm also on his blocked list.

Edit: I somehow messed up the quote boxes. Removed them.

People used this thing called "teamwork" to finish matches. Even in Bronze matches, there would be some kind of magical cohesion between teammates. It is rumored that this bond can still rarely be found in some matches.

Also, people would whittle down Atlases to about 3/4ths of their Armor before using a rocket on them, because we didn't know it was a OHK yet, lol.

It was a pretty great time.

Interesting!  I try and stay on the happy side (although admittedly I do occasionally post from the pub, when all bets are off...).  I would be intrigued to know what it was I said which occasioned my block.  Not criticising!  Manage your profile however you like, of course.  And if you have an itchy block-finger I'd hardly expect you to remember my particular transgression.

So: no biggie!  Just a curiosity for me.  Carry on...  :D

I'd say I try to be one of the calm voices of reason around here (as long as I'm not in a humor thread), but I still have my occaisional grumpy day when I call someone out for being a troll/rude/etc.  It happens.

I remember I felt like such a badass being able to consistently beat bronze.

I played a novaguard and asari adept, like everyone else.

One day, my team had smashed cerberus on FBGhost like 3 times, I suggested we try silver and we were all too scared (so many Atlases dude!)

Yeah and so many bugs that we thought would be fixed in the full game, and the promise of text chat.

I played mostly a Human Engineer on Gold during the demo days.

My team were usually wiped out on Wave 5 by a single phantom but it was fun...

Only cerberus, only on White or Ghost. I remember feeling a sense of achievement for making it to wave 4 on silver, and thinking gold was impossible.

The Krogan group headbutting ritual predates the official release date. Amazing.

All my Krogan are pink also. I always feel left out when Krogan don't headbutt me back in-between waves.

Back then, the most coveted weapon was the revenant.

The Revenant.

Actually, it was the Carnifex.

I remember how hard it was to get the Krogan Soldier. I actually got him on the last day. Then my first Spectre Pack in the retail version had a Krogan Soldier.

I didn't get the Asari Adept or the Carnifex for three weeks.

Are there other colors for Krogan?

Silver was crazy hard! Phantoms were something you ran away from.

Wow. This sounds like it would've been awesome to experience. Did any of you guys get a rare to X?

Is it possible that you are kind of bored? Did you really not play the demo? No offense.

Not everyone had the chance to play it you know...

I got the drell vanguard in my first pack, and basically only used him throughout the whole demo.

then, when the game was released, i got the drell adept and was like, wow, this is MUCH better

Veteran pack gave you everything - gold classes & weapons, consumables, all for 20k creds. One gold match and you were well stocked.

I was fed up with fb White even in demo.

Carnifex and Widow were a dream.

People were scared of playing gold, winning one was great achievement, you boasted with screens on forums.

Finding game was a problem, sitting in the lobby for 5-10 minutes was norm.

My widow. I was the envy of every lobby. And I once was a NovaGuard on Gold, with a friend and 2 people from England. And we actually made extraction. They tuaght me the proper use of Shockwave and how to use my NovaGuarding to save us from Phantoms. Back then, TC for the infiltrators actually worked. You could dry-hump a Phantom all wave and she wouldn't even bother you. Instead she'd snipe your friendly neighborhood Krogan Soldier.

I don't see any Novaguards anymore. Which is a shame, he used to be my favorite Vanguard. Until I unlocked my  Smash Bro.
I think the art of Novaguarding is lost forever. Nowadays it's all about Biotic Slash spam.

Lots and lots of Firebase White....not that different from today, really.
