I don't see the imprisonment of mages as "justice", I see it as protection. Completely unrelated to the idea of justice, simply because justice--as in the modern concept which you apply to Thedas--doesn't exist.

Circles are the compromise because they were founded by mages alongside the Chantry, they have their own autonomy and vote for the fate of all mages throughout Thedas. They voted against rebellion until the events of Asunder and even then they only voted to go for war by one vote.

You don't want compromise, you want total freedom and call it compromise. That's silly, you can't compromise without having both sides make concessions. Mage concessions is freedom.

That simple.

I don't care, i will always post about it

Then you're intentionally trying to throw loaded words into arguments, except a reaction and call it an "argument". That's poor arguing and pretty much border-line against the rules of this site, so I'd stop.

You know, creating actual arguments rather than relying on fallacy.

The concept of justice i implement here is not modern, it is 1433 years ago, even before medieval

Justice is "to put the things where it should be"

Injustice is "to put the things not where it should be"

No, the Mages here is NOT Circle mages, Not Tevinter Imperium magister, not Apostate, not Blood Mage....but ALL mages. understand?

Clearly you do not understand what i am talking about.

Mages born everyday in Thedas, it is natural phenomenon. That is where it belong, that is where it should be. The decision is not from Chantry, Circle Mage, tevinter Imperium, Apostate and Blood mage. It is NATURE

To bring JUSTICE is to bring it back to where it belong, the NATURE

That is compromise, the Chantry don't compromise with the nature itself.

Throw away the Chantry, the Circle, tevinter Imperium, Apostate, blood mage, templar...these all are BULLCRAPS...bring it back to the nature...that is what Anders is doing, understand?

And this is the problem.

YOU think justice means that the mages run free.

But who are you to say whether it's justice or not? Who gave YOU that authority? No one. It is hubris to assume that just because YOU feel a certain way on the issue, you can proclaim it as justice--especially when on an online forum with dozens of beliefs about "justice," especially when talking about an issue that was made deliberately grey.

Yes, justice here is to let mages free

YOU think to NOT let mages free is justice

Who are you to say that is justice or not? Who gave you that authority? NO ONE.

First premise - New Mages born everyday in Thedas
Second premise - Born mages is the product of nature

So what is justice to you? To lock them up is justice?

Where they belong? Where they should be? They born in the world the same way you born in the world.

You want to sent them to other planet because they are born with magical power and you are not, while they are born at the same place and same nature as you are, who give you that authority?

The GOD?

Just because something is born in the world doesn't mean it "belongs" there.

And I'm not claiming anything is justice. I'm showing the flaw in your position, that's all.

But the concept of justice you're applying never existed for anyone then, the whole "everybody gets treated equally" is the modern idea of "justice" you're applying to mages. In the past, plague "victims" were quarantined and killed, whether they were sick or not didn't actually matter (Rather poor comparison, I admit) because the risk outweighed the rights.

Justice is "to put the things where it should be"

Injustice is "to put the things not where it should be"

Oh? And who dictates this?

Sorry, I can't understand what you're talking about because you're not making sense. You keep talking about the Chantry and how they refuse your "compromise", now you're talking about all mages--even those not under the Chantry.

Make a cohesive point, stay with it and maybe we can talk.

Mages born everyday in Thedas, it is natural phenomenon. That is where it belong, that is where it should be. The decision is not from Chantry, Circle Mage, tevinter Imperium, Apostate and Blood mage. It is NATURE

What the hell kind of argument is this? We've--as in humanity in general--done many things against nature, it's part of survival. Sometimes nature isn't what's best for everyone, something being natural =/= being fine and dandy.

To bring JUSTICE is to bring it back to where it belong, the NATURE

Justice has nothing to do with nature, it's about whoever is in charge's code of ethics.

That is compromise, the Chantry don't compromise with the nature itself.

Now I know you don't know what that word means.

Throw away the Chantry, the Circle, tevinter Imperium, Apostate, blood mage, templar...these all are BULLCRAPS...bring it back to the nature...that is what Anders is doing, understand?

That's what your head-canon tells you?

i see...then you have the right to cast away the one who born with you at the place you live because you feel they don't belong there...

if that is what your concept of justice, then i won't argue with you...

Welcome to the Jungle?

Nature isn't fair , nor care about justice .It's a human concept.
Nature made mages born "different" in the first place. Many mages may feel it's a cruel joke.(or like winning at the lottery , it depends^^)

Now about justice , Isabella has a really fine banter about it.

Anders: There is justice in the world.
Isabela: Is there? You want to free the mages. Let's say you do, but to get there, you kill a bunch of innocent people.
Isabela: What about them? Don't they then deserve justice?
Anders: Yes.
Isabela: And then what? Where does it end?
Isabela: It's like a bar brawl. People are continuously pulled into the fray, and nobody remembers why it started.
Isabela: Justice is an idea. It makes sense in a world of ideas, but not in our world.

That's the idea.
Andraste brought justice to the slaves .She freed them .Then the slaves emprisoned the mages back.
Now the mages wants justice too , to have that , they're probably gonna killed some people. Some mages are gonna lose it and go all abominations like...
Then the mundane victims gonna ask for justice too...and it's never gonna end.

I'm not saying that mages shouldn't do anything about their situation.Things obviously needs to change.
But they need a bigger plan than just claiming freedom blindy.
Their hunger for freedom will hurt some people. They need to know this.

But well , i guess any revolution came at a price. But what's fair to some won't be to others.

Aaaaand, there's your problem.

We are not all Muslims.

We do not all have the beliefs of Musims.

Even I, a Christian in a western-centralized world, do not assume all have the beliefs that I do, and more importantly:

I don't use those beliefs as facts.

I may believe them with every fiber of my body. I may be utterly certain they are right. But that doesn't mean other people feel the same, and thus it is inapplicable to use place of logic in a discussion.

Basically how I see things, I'd rather keep mages sealed away because they're in the minority and free mages would basically result in more devastating wars because whichever nation has the most mages wins conflicts.

Least the Chantry keeps mages free from monarchs who'd use them as a resource, feeds and shelters them and teaches them their abilities (or dealing with those who'd pose risks).

You know, near the beginning of this thread I was wondering if this was all a shallow attempt to make a dig at Christianity and the "Church." (which a large portion of Christianity is NOT in fact under)

It sure looks like I was right.

Are you asking for a lock? Because it sure looks like it.

Why must making it Muslim vs Non Muslim argument?

I just SHARE the tern JUSTICE in Islam point of view, in my culture point of view

It is you, and your people who ever don't want to learn about others, arrogant, ignorant, inconsiderable, intolerable, never compromise!

You're the one who keeps bringing it up, we're discussing fictional beliefs in a fictional world but you keep referencing your religion / faith / how evil americans are and everything. You're too self-absorbed into your own beliefs when discussing fiction.

Then you say things like this and just make yourself look unreasonable:

It is you, and your people who ever don't want to learn about others, arrogant, ignorant, inconsiderable, intolerable, never compromise!

So i am done here

I loathed with arrogant western...

@Nizaris- The templars are not hypocrites. They are the symbol of justice, faith and order. They have to kill the mages if need be. Infact i cant believe that templars can even tolerate mages. Mages are an epidemic a disease which must be eradicated. I say, let the Templars kill mages when they are children. In the real world look at USA they are like templars killing any muslims in their way. This is bcoz muslims are rodents, disease and a black death to us. The mages are like moslems and must be killed. If USA is keeping order by killing muslims why cant the templars kill  mages?
