So im on mars at the point where you pick up the SMG ultralight Materials I and when I pick it up I dont get the pop up letting me know I found it nor can it be found when I go over to the workbench and try to attach it. I found the SMG scope and I can attach that to my SMG but the Ultralight Materials I is nowhere to be found. I have tried deleting all of my saves and starting over, uninstalling the game and reinstalling it, and repairing the install but it still happens. Anyone else have this problem or know of a way to fix it? It has become very annoying <_<

I actually experienced this once (after Patch 1.03 and with the extended cut).

Both of the initial mods (the ultralight materials in the mess hall and the scope by the weapons bench) failed to actually give me the respective upgrades. I tried to reproduce it with a new game, but it worked when I went back through there.

Are you importing from a ME2 saved game? Does it still happen if you start a new game without importing?

I haven't really played the game since, so I'm not aware of any workaround, sorry.

Yeah I imported from a ME2 save. I tried it without importing and it still happened so I deleted everything and did another fresh install and now it magically works lol. Hopefully I wont run into any more problems.
