You do realize the radius for the Male Quarian arc grenades is larger than on the Demolisher arc grenades, right?


Let's see:

QME: Larger detonation radius
QMI: Larger detonation radius+Tactical Cloak damage buff
Demolisher: More spare grenades+Pylon for limitless resupply-smaller detonation radius

Totally balanced now.

That point is only viable if no other techpower using character is in the game. If there is one, then the augmented grenade supply of the Demolisher beats the QME for TB capacity by a long shot too.

But thats the thing, it was balanced before. Bringing the base stat in line was...again, pointless. And I realize you agreed with this but, I can't say it enough.

Fixed.


Homing Grenades detonate tech bursts, too. So what if the travel time is longer, at least they do some respectable damage when they get there.

I wish some of the other guns would get a buff. Would be nice to have stronger smgs, fix up the collector rifle, and so much more.

That's a fair point, but I like to judge what the characters can do solely by themselves too (if you can get away without having to rely on your teammates, that's a significant advantage). I still think that the larger radius is a good enough advantage, considering they still do share the same base damage (gives the QM more flexibilty when speccing).

Fair enough. Though I think if they really intended to put things into a balance perspective, the recent change was contraproductive. So far it looks as if they are just screwing around to see how much it takes to initiate MP exodus waves ...

This goes to everyone who keeps calling for a locust buff. It has already been buffed twice. Once for damage, and another for damage/weight/capacity. It's not the gun it was in ME2 and it's not going to be.

Seems to me the shield regen startup nerf isn't worth the higher rate and values...good thing the Piranha wasn't nerfed into oblivion, at least not yet. Small steps are good. Stays as it is now, it should be fine...

Particle Rifle buff true? sounds good. and the stagger for platinum phantoms should be huge

Yup.  Small nerf.  Then wait and see what happens before deciding whether further action is required.  

BW seems to have learned from their first battle with the Falcon.  When dealing with OP weapons, take it down slowly to avoid turning it into crap.

One step closer to giving up on this game.  QM Engineer did not need a nerf in any way, shape, or form.  I thought the purpose of balance changes was to make it so that certain stategies and characters were used far more than others.  But anyone who plays this game knows that Demolisher is being used far, far more than QME. Ridiculous change.

Good about Piranha and regeneration delay.

I cant understand why buffing ballistic blades with so many powers and weapons needing a emergency buff to be usable with quality. This buff is equal Piranha buff few weeks ago.
Carnage (need more), incinerate (need more), concussive shot, cryo blast, sabotage, shoulder missile, one shot sniper rifles, UR like Wraith, Javelin, etc...

I just can't understand recent balance changes. Why was the Piranha ever buffed? Why was Smash cooldown buffed then reduced to its original state? Why was the Typhoon nerfed? Why was the Vindicator ever nerfed and then returned to its original damage (but not original godly weight)? Why were the Arc Grenades changed at all when they were perfectly fine between the 3 classes? Why was the GE nerfed along with the GI's Hunter Mode? I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture. The quality of the weekly balance changes is unpredictable at best, if not seemingly arbitrary sometimes. Sometimes they can be really good like last week's Pull overhaul (while still missing the key problem with it, however) or they can be out of the blue ridiculous like this week's Arc Nade nerf.

You know as much as people have been talking about the Piranha it seems like the outrage has been spent more on the Delay post than the official patch notes.
This feels like a limp balloon compared to the Delay post.

Should I take it that people aren't that much bothered about the Piranha reset + 2.5 damage nurf?
Well Quarian arc grenade... kinda didn't make sense to me at least.
And I think someone at Bioware just wanted BB buffed because it's their favorite ability... or because... why not?

I remember one Bioware employee post about  how there's one guy there who constantly asks Fagnan for Batarian buffs. :P
