Okay I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask under, but I have been working on attempting to convert hair for DA2 use. I know it can be done and others have accomplished this, but for some reason when the meshes export, I loose a lot of information in the process. I have Blender, 3dmax, and Lightwave, all with the DA2 import and export scripts, as well as use da2tools to export the xml files into msh and mmh, but when I open up the strings, they read completely different from the people that have been successful at exporting hair. I tired manually fixing the strings, but still when it is brought to the game, the game crashes when I scroll over to the hair on the slider even though it loads and looks good in the viewscene of da2tools.

Here is my normal process: Load .obj in Blender, load hair .msh from DA2 into Blender and copy bone weight as well as rotate to the right placement. Export as .obj and open in Lightwave. Export as Bioware .xml file and I have both the .msh.xml and .mmh.xml. Extract .msh and .mmh with da2tools and everything is messed up when I open the strings. I then edit the strings in the .msh and .mmh file and now when I open it up in view scene, it matches with the default DA2 hair .msh, as well as the .msh. So any advice from people who have been successful at exporting whether it is armor or whatever?

*Update* A friend over on the dragon age nexus site has solved this issue, so we will now hopefully be working on a tutorial for new hair.:D
