Hail to all,

i've not read all parts of the toolset wiki so i don't gathered all info about customization.
However, while reading, i thinked about a new type of DA game.

Is it possible to make Dragon Age not only an "RPG" but an ACTION/RPG?

The meaning of action i have is the possibility to create keyboard key combinations to let the character perform a specific movement (a recent title i have in mind is "Risen", an old one is "Severance - Blade of Darkness" an epic fantasy rpg adventure).

So if i click right mouse maybe i can perform a parry or a dodge or a shield block and if i press left mouse i can perform a swing. The switch from exploring mode to combat mode can determine this new reconfiguration of keys and buttons.

Is it a dream or a realistic possibility?

Bye.

That's going to be a MAJOR change to the game's core mechanics, and may not be possible.

It's a dream. You might consider playing Torchlight instead. It is more actiony and it has a toolset also.

Ya, don't think it's possible. I think you just bought the wrong game.

You could still learn it from Dragon Age. Just not the right game for action rpg.

Modding is a great way to get your feet wet in video game development, but you are going about it the wrong way. You should explore the toolset first and figure out how things work before you try to do any kind of major project. Play the OC to see what kinds of things are possible. Then follow some tutorials that teach you how to add simple stuff to the game. As you get more familiar with it, you can do more complicated things.

This probably isn't possible. The way control works in the game is not really customizable aside from what options there are in the options menu for this.

In fact, my idea comes "a bit" earlier, as i said before, i haven't learned all aspects of toolset functions yet.

My need to see it in an ambitious way grows bigger and bigger every days , so don't bother about my imagination.
