In my experience, the Xbox live community has been far more hostile & immature compared to the PC/PS3 communities.

Made that shortly after Arrival. Amused how accurate it turned out to be.

Although I do respect them for being hardcore and fairly knowledgeable as far as mechanics go (most of them are friendly too it seems), I can't say the same about playing with m4d aim-assist sk1llz. That's always going to be a joke, sorry.
Who are the pro PC players around here anyway?

I cannot use the controllers with these type of games. I have both xbox and ps3 controllers but I only use them car racing games like Dirt and Grid.
As for mic, I have a headset with a mic but I just to lazy to set it up until now. Hopefully its working. Who wants to hear my voice. One time I heard my voice over the answering machine. I sound like a cross dresser with a sore throat.
Last Tuesday night (au time) at my last game for the night, I was playing in Fire Base Whit Cerberus in Silver keep on hearing this helpful voice. He or she is playing a Asari Adept.

How often do you read threads by Xbox players and think "thank god I'm on PC"?
For me it's at least twice a day.
It's a question like this: "Are you happy because you have two legs and not just one?"
Seriously, I don't understand the purpose of consoles. But I've found a lot of topics started "Hey, I've a good idea" and the first aswer is "Yeah, it's maybe good or not, but it won't be made because of limitations of consoles."
I hate that the console platforms can kill all of the potential of modding games or adding expansions.
edit: And I hate that I've to use one button to jump, roll and duck behind cover.

I mean, most people in PC games have mics attached, so I doubt that is the reason.
True, I have seen players with a "blue speaker" icon, but rarely talking. On the Xbox, how does the mic work? Is it automatic, or u have a push-to-talk button? Never had an Xbox myself..

My guess? Most parents buy their kids an xbox, and its a lot cheaper to pay 250 for a console than to pay the $600 is required to build your own gaming pc. Most kids dont know how to do that, so theyre stuck with prebuilts running at 3x the cost.

Would PC be considered to be the light or dark side of the force?
Kicking is a darkside/renegade action.
So, PC is the light side.
I consider PC as the dark side since most PC players tempt Xbox players to switch to PC (More powerful)

On the pc, even bronze lobbies have mostly decent players who try to play as a team and complete objectives. It is also a lot quieter on the pc. I didn't encounter rude or taunting players on Xbox but chanced upon friends who were constantly chatting from wave 1 to 11. And don't get me started on those people who have their Kinect mikes left on so that I can hear the game coming from their TV speakers THROUGH the mike. Ugh.

Neither. PC users, being the Master Race, are above such petty moral concerns.DnVill wrote...

That is the most eggregious gaming misconception I have come to know up to now.
I had once tested how much a decent gaming PC, everything included would cost.
With a decent monitor, keyboard, mouse, quad-core intel CPU, GTX 500er series dedicated GPU, 4GB RAM and 1TB HDD plus the whole rest I got at around 800-900€ tops. That's here in Germany, all from a single internet retailer (so you could chafe off at least fifty, possibly up to 100€ if you went to buy some parts from cheaper sources (most retailers don't charge porto for the prices those parts have).
And if you life in the US where such parts are even more cheap, you could have yourself that PC for about 500-600 bucks. A console costs what, 250$ + (!!!) the costs you had for the TV with half the average lifetime, nevermind that you need a whole new console after that lifetime is done for, instead of simply upgrading two or three components on a PC, so a gaming PC that is several times as powerful as a console is ultimately around the same price.
I don't get how people still believe that PCs are a thing only meant for rich people ... if you can afford a console, you can afford a PC.
