Why not pink?
You said a bad word!
That word is not dark so it can't work.

On a more serious note, your choices should have good and/or bad consequences. If everything ends up dark and with out hope, why bother? It's railroading and apathy inducing. Sure, you can say that allowing a 'happy' option means everyone will choose that option, but so what? If everyone wants to choose that option in a ROLEPLAYING GAME, then more power to them. The experience is richer for having possibilities of both success or failure.

I want to be a goodie two shoes, save the world after some sacrifice and betrayal (but not too much) and retire with my Qunari LI and my horned babies ...Saberchic wrote...
The direction of Bioware seems to be "let's put out a dark, gritty game." So I guess what I'm asking is how dark do you want the next game to be? And what is a good balance?
PS. it's the third game, it's about time to save the world ...

I have faith that in the end Guts will be able to attain a bloody victory and a good life for Casca (although probably not the both of them). I don't think it will be a victory handed to him by his enemies either, so more of a victory than Shepard ever got.TS2Aggie wrote...
Dark, edgy, no appearance of happiness or joy, no chance of a satisfying event, no love that does not end up as a betrayal, no goodness that happens purely for being good. See: the world of Berserk
