I know that this error does not have anything with a game but i searched EA forums and didn't find any fix or strait answer from officials.

Problem is that after last update i cannot log in to origin. When i try it says "You must be online when logging for the first time".

If someone knows fix for this error please tell me.

I had the same problem with today's update. What I found made it work was to disable my anti-virus software while Origin was downloading/installing and when I started it for the first time. Sicne then it's been working normally.

Upon logging in today, Origin informed me of a sad thing - I have no friends... Oh, and I am able to connect to origin... lame. Just to top it off I got disconnected multiple times from EA servers as well in the period of 2 hours (4 times in game, 2 times while searching for games). This has never happened to me before, ridiculous. PC here.

I was able to downgrade origin to previous version and now i can login but now chat option is disabled, it says "The origin chat service could not be reached. Please try again later".

The EA forums state that there are problems with the friend servers, which have not been resolved.

I got it working.
If anyone is using ESET Smart Security 5, try doing the following.
Go to "Setup"=>"Protocol Filtering"=> and select "Excluded Applications"
On the right side, look for any Origin related file and check it.

I do not know if this is related with other antivirus programs, try to locate similar settings.

I did that and logged in successfuly at once.
I hope this works for everyone.

When you open eset go to setup on the left  then click on enter andvanced setup on the bottom then click on web and email tree and there in subtree is protocol filtering.
