There was an error in our live update this week, and the following change was not applied. It will be rolled into next week's changes.

Cerberus Phantom
- (Platinum) The force threshold to cause Phantoms to stagger lowered to Gold levels

Also, the following change wasn't mentioned in the balance notes.

Prothean Particle Beam Assault Rifle
- Magazine size now scales with weapon level, from [100-125]

Yea I didn't notice the stagger difference either.

But it felt like phantoms were easier to kill in platinum since yesterday. Might have been that shield recharge delay.

Eric,

I know this is off topic for this thread. I read so many conflicting things about Annihilation Field radius increase (level 4). Does the radius increase on level 4 just increase the radius when you detonate the field. OR does it increase the radius of the actual Annihilation Field itself?

Thank you for any info.

It's live. Piranha damage now significantly lower, but it's still a great weapon (on GI & N7 Destroyer, which I tryed).

Both. They share radius.

Because the store isn't broken. Random doesn't mean "even distribution"
The only thing I can see wrong with the store system is that farming credits using AI Breaking techniques is too simple, rendering microtransations almost moot.

ugh that particle rifle ammo change does not make much of a change :S would have been nicer to see base damage upgrade or the ramp up multiplier upgrade...

How about you stop with "balance updates" and fix the bugs? Biotic Charge while dying still causes the glitch. Level 4 ammo is a total rip off when it's your guarantee rare in a spec or prem spec pack.

Level X PPR can get up to a 300 ammo clip, up from the former max of 240. 240 already lasts freaking ages. A clip of 225 (from 180) with just the Magazine Size AR mod is no laughing matter.

The ramp-up is x4 and that already does around Harrier damage. So you want a gun that does better than Harrier damage, with unlimited ammo and near-pinpoint accuracy. Your version would be nerfed within the first week. Currently the PPR claim to fame is being able to dish out constant damage for a long period (trying doing that with a Harrier if you use ammo faster than you get it back).

I love this change Bioware, thank you, my Particle Rifle appreciates some return to it's SP glory, even if in a different niche than pure damage.

So what parts of the .ini file do you think need to be changed to change the hardcoded networking? Or speed up the bug certification process? Or stop lag altogether, even if the host has a terrible connection? I'm pretty sure nothing in the .ini can fix those.

And the ammo cards aren't a bug... it's an intended feature. The alternative would be extra character cards.

What's "broken" is calling an item lottery a "store." There is no store. Maybe it's a store in the sense that "you can buy lottery tickets at a gas station convenience store," but that's as close as it gets.

You're still wasting time (and really wasting money if you buy points) on a small chance of receieving a worthwhile reward for that time spent. You could grind away for hours and get garbage out of multiple PSPs, while at the same time some lucky dope can buy one PSP and hit paydirt. Getting only 1/10th of a gun at a time mitigates that a little, but it also just drags the process out.

And since all that's just engineering to inflate the amount of time players have to play (and entice gullible people into spending more real money) it's not broken at all, from EA's perspective.

If you're still putting up with it, you're the one getting gamed.
