It was missing it's falcon for a while, but now I can get it out with that again. Or a few streams from a harrier between overloads on plat, while it's turret shields the organics.

I'd love to play him, but as my computer is a weaker one, once I turn Hunter Mode on, somehow I lose a good chunk of FPS... So he's a bit out of the question so far
Hunter Mode is basically pointless on the gethgineer, from my experiences. I prefer speccing for overload, I don't even notice the lack of hunter mode.

I max the Defensive turret, chain Overload, HM, and Fitness. Stick the Mattock on him and go to town
Amazing class. Him combined with a Kroguard got me almost through Plat last time I tried. If we hadn't been carrying the other two guys we would have easily beaten it.

Hunter Mode is utterly pointless unless you max it out. An unmaxed HM is not worth the hit to shields on a GE.

I use it more for the situation awareness than the Offensive perks. Those are still nice though. But srs, the ability to see through walls makes you a HUGE asset to your team.Draining Dragon wrote...

when i have my Geth Engi at 20 i usually equip him when i see a GI. Its
a fun little minigame to outscore them on gold/plat. and i do it with an Offense
turret and a scorpion =P. its a match made in heaven.

I grew sick of GI months ago. GE can dish out big damage and be a huge asset and utility to the entire team if he knows how to use the turret.
Edit: Come on guys,,,, skipping HM? lmao!

Are you kidding me?
His Hunter Mode turns the Hurricane into a rapid fire sniper. 25% Accuracy/15% RoF/17.5% damage.
He can take down enemies amazingly fast.

Well, my Geth Engineer is not a good fit on plat. On Gold I run around the map with chain overload and I kill everything in sight with my Hurricane. Really effective but you can't really do that on plat since 90% of the enemies won't be stunned by overload.
I should probably try a new build/weapon. Maybe full overload and Saber/Harrier or something.

I'm still not sure how to spec him. I normally use this build, but I am considering changing to this one. Thoughts?

I only turn it on occasionally for close proximity wall-hack. Half the time, he goes without it. I could have specced him completely out of Hunter Mode and spent the last 6 points on his passive, but I thought that I might need the Hunter Mode sometimes. I wouldn't do full HM on the GE, just because I want him to be different from my super-killer GI.
In any case, you're probably right that it might not worth it if I'm not going to max it out, but I don't really notice any performance problems for now. Also, the shield hit might not be so bad on the full fitness GE since it's only half of the base shields that gets lost. My Reset cards are precious.
