I hate to sound mean and smug but low level players and newcomers. Know your place. It is in Bronze and Silver games, not in the gold. Almost every gold game I go to, there is at least one N7<40 player as lvl. 8 character without equipment and armed with mantis/katana/shuriken/avenger lvl. 1.

Go play in the bronze and silver until you get better weapons and equipment, until that you are a burden for the squad. Not that I wouldn't ever make mistakes and ***** things up royally but those are because of pure stupidity or a simple fail. Also when ever I promote a character and start from scratch I level up to level 13-15 in silver before heading to gold so I get skillpoints to health, powers and weapon damage.

Please don't get offended, this more like advise to make multiplayer more enjoyable for all of us, when you get equipped to handle tougher enemies with ease then welcome aboard. And remember even world #1 player was once a "noob" :)

The match maker must be having fun with you.

My dear dear boy, where shall I begin?

I have looked into the manifest of your soul and what did I see? a newcomer himself. Your weapons and equipment are weak, your skill likely being exagerated.

Seek not to bully the weak but improve yourself.

. . .Have you been living in a cave?

Seriously though, a unch of those people were missile glitchers, or missile glithcer's frineds who heard about how "easy" Gold is, and who now think "I'm going to go on Gold, everyone will carry me no problem".

Even on Silver, you should at least know the basic gameplay mechanics and TRY.

I was stuck with 2 knuckleheads yesterday on the opposite end of the map from a hack, just sitting there shooting swarmers. I finally had to plug the mic in and ask if they planned on actually completing the level.

I don't care if you're low N7 level in silver - but you have to freakin' contribute.

people think they are great players and can jump into any difficulty with ease cause they beat SP and they can't.

Default game settings for multiplayer are U/U/U isn't it? Really new players may have no idea they need to change it.

It is even funnier to see them creating lobbies in platinum and gold. I usually assume it is a banned player rebuilding.

Honestly, i think anybody below a class level 18 should not be going into gold/plat lobbies. Sure, you can argue they are skilled all you want, but the truth is they will preform better at level 18-20 than level 8. I don't make my lobbies so you can level up. I make them to get credits and i keep my characters at 20 to play at my best with randoms. I expect the same. Play with friends if you want to level up in gold because i'm not here to do that for somebody i don't even know.

Same. Random lobby search for Unknown/Unknown/Platinum lobby puts me in one with players with a Mattock I, Widow III, Piranha II, Carnifex IV, etc. Gold, I might wing it depending on my mood (and if I feel like carrying).  Platinum... I'm sorry and I really don't want to come across as elitist or whatnot, but if we proceed, we'll be extremely lucky if we get past wave 3's objectives. I don't say anything, disconnect, and search again.

Yeah this is just stupid planning by bioware, it should be set to U/U/B to prevent noobs from getting into  matches they shouldnt be in

Agreed. More tactical thinking people tend to use forums, or those who require information. There are sometimes those exceptions where noobs do use forums first.

That is exactly what my goal is. And I have reached some weapons and equipment high enough to be able to complete gold matches without *****ing the match up. And like I said, I didn't mean to offend anyone. My point is that don't enter gold before you can make it and even though I am "newcomer" myself I am able to finish the matches without ruining it for everyone. And to clarify my original idea, when REALLY low-level players enter the match, it takes common sense to know that mantis 1 can't compete with Widow 8. And when these badly equipped players enter gold matches they are usually first ones to fall and after that the rest of the players are either killed when reviving them constantly or swarmed by hunters/phantoms/banshees. And if all the matches fail due to the failure of the weakest link then none of the squad gets credits to buy better equiptment or xp to level up. In short my goal is to advice newcomers to get powerful enough equipment in silver before going for the gold.
