I have been playing on a second scout lately and I can say from experience, people lille you are pricks, even when im rolling a level 20 GI piranha rank still matters that much

I'm basing my opinion and advice to the countless numbers of consumables, credits and good squads I have lost/wasted due to "party poopers" facing enemy which is just plain overkill for them. I'm speaking about level 6&8 players with starting weapons on gold. If you can handle yourself on gold or just play for fun with friends then be my guest and welcome, but trying to farm money by facing matches you are not ready for is just inefficient for everyone.

I don't know if you misunderstood me when I talked about looking at the level. I am speaking of level 6/7/8 players with N7<50 not players with lvl 20 GI piranha. Besides seems like we are on different platforms. I don't know about xbox player community, how much there are pricks who stare at only the level. I don't mean to be a ****** I hope starting players won't go party pooping by going for too high goals. I know I did and just hope others won't have to learn it the hardway like I had to. I hope others don't repeat my mistakes and be pain in the ass for others.

Yes, OP. You're not being smug but you chose the most tactless and condescending wording possible "know your place" in the title.

Please.

This^

you could be a little more tactfull in your wording. somehting like

"Low level players, please practice in bronze and silver 1st before moving onto gold"

you get more bees with honey then you do in vinegar

First thing I thought of when I read the title is Complete Global Saturation.

I think maybe the OP was being sarcastic?

I mean, at least at the time I posted this, the OP didn't even have all the COMMON weapons and characters maxed out, and had no uncommon or rares maxed out. In terms of achievements, I realize it's SP but OP doesn't even have the "insanity" or "unwavering" achievements. One really should learn how to play the SP game well before wasting other players' time in MP...

The thread title would of course tend to offend those to whom it was directed rather than persuade them. If one actually wanted to persuade or educate, something like, "Gold & Pt very difficult for low-level characters. Please level-up 1st".

Not to mention, given the possibilities of "random" and someone with low N7 # not knowing how difficult it is, because it might be their first or one of their first MP games, one might (if one has a microphone) explain that, or just kick them.

I hate playing with level 20 characters - little feeling of accomplishment (and the last time I kept a level 20 infiltrator I got a 250K infiltrator card PLUS an N7 Shadow card in the PSP I bought...Aargh) - so until I max out my characters and get level IV ammo and try Pt, I'll probably continue promoting and will never be in a lobby with a level 20. Usually if even one person votes to "kick" me, I'll leave, sometimes with a feeling of amusement -- e.g. if someone can't figure out that the level 12 N7 Shadow I'm using on a (rare, I find it boring) FBWGG farm run is quite capable of spamming electric slashes and using duration-maxed tactical cloak to do the objectives, I wonder how well they'll do (despite their using level III consumables...on FBWGG?!).

once you play MP your binded to the EULA and you give up your rights and must play within the rules that EA and BW has set up for online play. breaking those rules result in credit wipe, banning, suspension etc 1 player ruining the fun of 3 becuase he paid for the game can probably be condiered griefing which is a tier 3 offense

I hope you're joking, suggesting that lower level people playing in higher level lobbies should be bannable is so ridiculous as to be laughable.

I'm joking about the bannable part but i'm serious about the part they are binded to the EULA and aren't entitled to do what they want cause they paid for the game. Stupididty or over-confidence isn't somehting to be banned over.

It reminded me of when someone on here was saying you can be banned for not dying after the wave 10 objective becuase you are griefing the people who want to die lol

agreed. high level players shouldn't ruin low level players fun either. a high level player killing bronze is as bad as a low leevl playing getting carried thorugh gold IMO

It is especially awkward when one of your buddies from friends list brings in their friend who is "ok, but is learning and trying real hard" to gold and platinum (yes platinum) games. Where the mentioned friend barely breaks 20 k (gold matches - several of them in fact) and breaks the record 25 k (for 1 platinum).... How he achieved 25 k I have no clue since he was insta-killed starting around wave 5 at the begining of every wave... (and bleeding out since - "sorry guys i dont have medigels "unlocked " yet")

My opinion - its ok to be carried once in a while and be with a good team to just see the expierence and teamplay, learn a few tricks... but know when to say "well that was awesome, thank you guys, I'll now go and do some silver/bronze matches to upgrade my disciple from I to II (!!) or unlock more missile slots or medigel capacity or anything really..."

If you are an older person like myself, the back of the bus was generally where certian races had to sit, before we became civilized.

Exactly.  So many complaints about less experienced players in harder difficulties, while veteran players fill Bronze lobbies and kill everything.

"Well, the beginners should be thankful for the free credits we get them in Bronze!"

There's little difference between what a seasoned player is capable of doing in Bronze and what missile glitchers were doing.  Everything gets wiped out in seconds.  Why weren't we thanking the missile glitchers?

"Experienced players teach beginners how to play in Bronze.  We give them tips and stuff.  They should be happy we're there!"

1) Trying to keep up with someone charging into spawn zones isn't fun. 2) The fun of video games comes from "doing," not being told what to do.  3) Bronze is in no way an indication of how things go in harder difficulties.  The only message your sending to beginners is RUN. TO. SPAWNS. ALL. THE. TIME.

"I can play Bronze whenever I want!  I paid for this game!  I can do whatever I want!"

Fine.  But stop being a hypocrite.  If experienced players can hop into Bronze then low-level players should be allowed into harder difficulties without being crucified.

I have to stop myself from getting into this again.  Bottomline: stop with the double standards.

The first day the Earth DLC came out, I saw a 37 with the N7 Shadow. So that already pissed me off that they got that lucky when I was a 400 something with only a N7 Paladin but then he/she put a Black Widow 1 on her along with a Schimitar. The best part was, they used their Shadow Strike about 4 times along with none of their other powers...

Personally, I play Bronze until at least L10 and Silver until at least 17. Haven't had the balls (or the inclination) to try platinum yet. The credits sound nice, but the whole "maps full of all three boss enemies" just sounds like a drag.

You know that 2 recruit packs may bring your character to level 8, do you?
I would skip Bronze, now with Recruit packs.
I use to move to gold once I have maxed the main power - should be about level 13.

N7 40 odd joined the gold pug lobby i was in earlier using a aa with a widow 1 and a shottie, didnt get a kick vote from anyone. had a look at the other 2 loadouts and said" what the hell"
he was goin down quicker than a thai hookers knickers on the other side of the map so he got to watch about 5 rnds before he figured out to stick with the rest of us to get ressed. he ended up doing ok for the last few rounds.
so give the low players a break, help them out they might even learn something!!

Blame BioWare for making "Random Difficulty" the default search parameter in quick matchmaking.

THEN you can go and extend the same level of guilt to people that can't read so they actually fall for the trap.

I'm all for helping noobs but sometimes, its the male ego that gets in the way

I had one n7 200+ char using a KroGuard who kept on dying.
So i, an Asari Justicar, stuck near him to back him him and revive when necessary.
When he was surrounded by multiple enemies, i commed over the mic that the chars with blue glows were primed and that he should charge them to get bio dets. Know what? He got all uppity and told me to stop telling him what to do..

Another one on FBWGG
I got an n7 40+ char who joined the lobby. We had 3 vets and i thought WTH, we should be able to carry him
He stayed at the LZ area when most of us went down to the camp zone and after dying a few times he proceeded to leave the game.  We ended up playing with only 3 players...

Also a moron using a slayer
he had a rating of N7 135 and used a slayer equipped with a Mantis 1.
On the lobby after the gold game, i commed over the mic that the reason for him not doing well was his sniper rifle and that the slayer, as a close combat char, should be using a weapon more suited for CQC. He voted to kick me ( host ) but we ended up kicking him instead.

Sometimes, its not our desire to ignore them but its rather the team dynamics that the vets are concerned about. Carrying 1 person might be possible, but if the other 2 randoms are those one of a kinds who doesn't use medi-gels or rockets, its 30mins of wasted time. ...

If he had a mic and ate humble pie, i believe we'd more than willing to carry and train him up.
He gets a win win situation and gets credits and equipment much faster.
