Heh. That's a two-way street but people with higher levels ignore that part.

Exactly.  So many complaints about less experienced players in harder difficulties, while veteran players fill Bronze lobbies and kill everything.

"Well, the beginners should be thankful for the free credits we get them in Bronze!"

There's little difference between what a seasoned player is capable of doing in Bronze and what missile glitchers were doing.  Everything gets wiped out in seconds.  Why weren't we thanking the missile glitchers?

"Experienced players teach beginners how to play in Bronze.  We give them tips and stuff.  They should be happy we're there!"

1) Trying to keep up with someone charging into spawn zones isn't fun. 2) The fun of video games comes from "doing," not being told what to do.  3) Bronze is in no way an indication of how things go in harder difficulties.  The only message your sending to beginners is RUN. TO. SPAWNS. ALL. THE. TIME.

"I can play Bronze whenever I want!  I paid for this game!  I can do whatever I want!"

Fine.  But stop being a hypocrite.  If experienced players can hop into Bronze then low-level players should be allowed into harder difficulties without being crucified.

I have to stop myself from getting into this again.  Bottomline: stop with the double standards.

As much as it may disappoint you, these people paid for their copy and can pretty much do as they please. This is why It's good to play with friends in a private lobby. Try to keep in mind that some people are bound to try higher difficulties to see where they stand.

Op, op, know your roll. If you are truely skilled you should have no problem carrying noobs in gold.

It always amuses me when two garbage players in a lobby vote to kick a low level noob, regardless of the fact that they're just as bad: if not, worse.

Ehhh, I don't mind noobs in gold as long as they don't block spawns I rush on purpose. Easy enough to carry except on hack circles.

Now, if the ****** match making system would kindly stop throwing me into a gold match in progress when I search for silver or bronze, that'd just be plain nice...

This. I search for u/u/b and wind up in PLATINUM games in progress.... the challenge then is to successfully quit before I die. I did stay that one time I got dropped into wave 10 fbw/g/g though... 30k credits for 5 minutes playing and I a full extraction ;)

It says very little other than that it is on the internet.

What says more is the huge amount of people who host because they get too much lag when they search for a game to join.  :(

Default game settings for multiplayer are U/U/U isn't it? Really new players may have no idea they need to change it.

That's a racist comment

What does being Asian got to do with abilities?

Yeah sorry to say but you look like a newbie yourself. I have done level ones as gold and plat and they work out just fine. Also I never put points in health as past Silver its just pointless to say the least due to Shield Gate.

Also a Mantis can beat out the Window rather well I have to say. This coming from a person who have tested them both many times before and at level 10 each.

Wrong on all counts.

This coming from a person who has used every weapon/class in the game extensively.

Low level players won't know what their place is until they find it.

Sure, it's usually bronze. But they should discover that by themselves, whether that means being kicked from high level matches or by going down at the start of each round on silver. Or, joining a silver and finding out they're just about keeping up.

Nothing says you have to win each round. I'm not saying you should never kick anyone - it's your equipment, you can use it on whatever team you want - but I'm personally usually willing to give someone new a chance as long as they're willing to listen should it all start going ****** up. I've been very, very surprised by the calibre of my double-figured gold comrades.

Yesterday, I was playing my Fury, wanted to just level up a bit in Bronze and try out different weapons. Had the Indra equipped. Matchmaking dropped me into wave 3, Hydra/Reapers/Gold. First thing I see when the map loads is the side profile of a Banshee. We made it to extraction, thanks to a Vorcha and his flamethrower, but that match... was not pretty.

tl;dr Broken matchmaking plays a huge role in this as well.

With all due respect, looking at your manifest, I'd consider you the weakest link in any Gold match. So I find it most odd that you feel entitled to condescend to others like you.

I personally don't mind 1 or 2 low level players on Gold at all, as long as the other 2 are solid. Been there, done that, and it's fun.

It's really bad on Xbox, not sure about the other platforms.

Come on, it's common sense really... you don't first start a game on the hardest difficulty unless you've played it before, especially with starter weapons ¬.¬

I don't know what game everyone else is playing, but I never had a problem beating gold without rares/URs. Gold can be beaten, albeit slower, just based on most character powers. If nothing else, biotic explosions scale to the difficulty quite well, and you don't even need anything above Predator I. I think adepts/engineers are the easiest classes to play on gold, since they require skill spams, with little to no weapon fire (firing just makes things go by faster). You do need a decent skill build though, but if you're reading this, I'm pretty sure you can use google to find what you can't on the forums.

Also, I feel that Gold is the new silver, at least for me. I test all builds in Gold, and normally don't mind helping anyone beat gold, as long as they help with objectives if needed. I just wish, people didn't join Platinum on purpose to get carried, without using a decent level character (depends on each person's skill level, I can use a level 8 better than most can a level 20) or at least be willing to use high tier equipment to make up for the lower skill/level.

I usually play Gold, but since i have a friend who sucks at this game :P Seriously, he does, so i told him we should start with Bronze and i also told him he should stay there for a while and then we might move on to silver.

I think BioWare should make a message pop up for all new accounts that plays MP that says; "Play Bronze first untill you get the hang of the game", or something. Although it probly only work in theory.

Got caused out by an N7 80. With a lvl 8 soldier with the ky w/e rifle ..at best he probably would of been a glitches right? Yay don't Need that bs ..

Also I think I'll start this thread if I kick you and I'm the leader ..it should say are you sure? If so then bye bye buddy .. Why is this a vote with 2 ppl kicking and an empty slot ? Obviously well never get a full team as fast if the player with 2 kicks won't leave and the 4th person who joins sees that low N7 level of theirs and leaves... It's annoying

I imagine it's due to new players who leave the difficulty on "Random" and thus end up in Gold/Platinum matches. Just tell them that they're not ready for such a high difficulty setting, and if they prove combative about it, kick them or leave the match yourself.

Oh, who was the joker (N7 around 1900) hosting the Bronze lobby last night, who waited for it to fill up with us lower level players, then switched it to Platinum and quit Posted Image  Fortunately I was paying attention Posted Image
