I think by now most ppl have gotten a feel for platinum and I'm curious to know if it lived up to the communities expectations. I know that alot of ppl farm it but who cares, did they do the set up right?

Are you happy with the credits and the difficulty or do you think it was cheap to just spam bosses the whole game. Or did you you expect.them do to something entirely different? I was one of the ppl who was expected the true bosses, harvesters and armatures those guys.

Overall I'm pretty happy with the new difficulty.

Too cheap. I don't feel like they have done anything innovative in far too long.

Couple that with the lag of bug fixes and constant "balancing" and this MP's days are numbered.

I only did two or three match FBWGP... Extracted in one, wave 10 and a wipe at three I think...

Not my cup of tea... I like gold for the challenge (I do not farm abitually, sometimes with friend we do one or two for the warmup round...)

Too much confusion and too many bullets needed... I was using a n7 eng (destroyer?) with harrier x and piranha x... Soo many grandad needed....

Don't really like the boss spam nature of it. Puts even more emphasis on the boss killers like the Geth Infiltrator. Would have liked to see new unit mechanics or even new units rather than cranking up the damage and health meters.

Spawning all 3 factions was nice, though.

Bosses only, double the numbers and call it a day.

Lack of creativity, they just took the easy way out.

Personally I like it. Especially when it isn't on FBW.

yes sadly the Geth infiltrator and destroyer are the kings in the DPS field. And here they go for variety. Have you ever seen a drell or vorcha in platinum? I haven't :/

Too tedious in my opinion. Needs AI tweaks across the levels, even if only in how the weapons handle. Like a two shot nemesis on gold and platinum for example.
They wouldn't have needed boss spam if they had just chosen enemies that work well together either.
How about an objective wave of brutes, phantoms, and pyros.

The mixed factions should have been a separate option from difficulty.

Overall, I like it even though it didn't turn out as difficult as Bioware hyped it up to be (I've already solo'd it a couple of times already). It's more or less the same as a Gold game with a solid group, and noticeably more difficult in a PUG.

What I don't like is that it is biased towards boss killing classes (even though any class can play Platinum successfully.) I, like others, suspect this is due to limitations from consoles not being able to generate a lot of enemies at once -- so Platinum just spams bosses. It would have been refreshing to see diverse roles all contributing roughly equally.

99% of plat games i join are farm/camp games. basically its boss killing mode, which is fine but no fun imo. gold is a good mix of fun and challenge so thats what im playing. wouldve rather seen 1 or 2 new factions instead of platinum, thatd be pretty cool.

It was what I expected. Most of the MP's difficulty comes from cheap scams by the in-game enemies, and really the only way for Bioware to increase the difficultly easily was to add more cheapness in. That being said, they didn't go nearly as far as I thought with simply decreasing player health while adding enemy health, which was good. Adding in all enemies at once was also a nice touch, and added a fun difficulty factor.

Overall tho, not much harder than gold as long as you can avoid the cheap stuff like sync kills.

Think it would be better with fewer bosses. The boss spam isn't more difficult it just limits diversity. I like the mixed factions though.

I remember the first day platinum came out they said they doubted anyone could solo platinum legit.. yea about that. Ppl just needed to get used to it. Sadly haven't gotten past wave 10 yet

The mode is incredibly boring, and it has nothing to do with it being more difficult. True, it is more difficult, but not in a way where it is actually fun to play.

The boss unit spam is more tedious than anything, and is why you only tend to see Destroyers, Demolishers, and Geth Infiltrators in Platinum lobbies. It doesn't force teamwork as was intended, but instead turns the game into a DPSfest.

For example, why bother with CC when the majority of the enemies you'll be fighting are immune to it?

I will only play those two maps unless I'm really desperate for equipment packs to restock my rockets and shiz. I like playing platinum on Giant, Dagger and Vancouver.

I like it. Gold is too easy and having everything rush towards me saves me time from having to hunt them down. The banshee is the only thing I dont like. Whenever she teleports I cant hit her because of lag so I have to wait for my teammates to deal with her or wait until she stops moving. I wanted an even harder mode but like some guy said no matter how much they buff the enemies they have to change how their AI works entirely to make it truly harder. I also like the fact that it forces players to work as a team.

Boss spam that gets old fast. I have played it for farming a lot of times and properly a few times. I prefer gold.

I have only been in two plat games both by accident. They should ease up a bit on the bosses and just add power to the lesser critters who can be a real pain in the arse.

Don't really like how it's a boss rush along with added damage, health/shields and reaction times for the enemies. It's poorly implemented and hardly interesting to play. The amount of boss enemies limits your character choice a lot too. The credits are nice, but I'll just stick to gold mostly. It's much more enjoyable.

Which makes me sad.  I expected them to up the Armor/Sheilds/Health of the Baddies too, but I was really hoping for something new.  People have been talking forever about killing a Reaper in MP, or one of the Collector Boss dudes (name escapes me and too lazy to google it =P).

It is fun that I now get Pyros and Brutes and Kamikaze Hunters/Centurions.  But it also feels slapdash.  There is no coordination between the groups (with the exception of Glacier little camp room.  Right after you kill a banshee comes a flood of pyros and hunters).

I wanted something big and fun.  I understand the limitation of the GPU in the Xbox as the bottleneck, but they could easily have lowered the amount of enemies and given us one mega unit. Whether a Rachni Queen or a new Saren-eque Ex-Specter.

/shrug  A little effort would have gone a long way to encouraging me to open my wallet.

We must demand these changes for the onyx difficulty
