see Star Wars? I was under the impression all involved in this discussion at least knew what they were talking about.
In any case, you must allow the rules of both universes (so long as they don't contradict) otherwise the discussion is meaningless. As far as I can tell, they don't contradict so both apply.
Now as to biotics, only some would not be counterable by the Force. Things like warp, reave, dark channel, things that apparently work at the subatomic level (although with practice a Sith Lord could learn to at least partially nullify these effects). More kinetic based ones like throw, pull and singularity could be resisted because they're kinetic based. Biotic explosions could probably not be countered. Though I doubt there'd be enough time to cast them.
