You should include methods of reload cancelling in the reload cancelling point, powers, medigel etc.

Already in weapon section :D

When you use a thermal clip pack it refills and reloads instantly INCLUDING GRENADES. If you use extra grenade gear you can spam lots of grenades by using up your thermal clips :) Drell adept with +5 nades gear gets 8. Plus 5 thermal clips = lots of fun :D

On reload-cancelling:

Hit the cancel button (e.g. "7" or "run button" or whatever) when you see the ammo counter replenished on your screen. If you do it too soon, you are likely to miss it and you need to reload twice.

(I know because with the Typhoon I make this mistake quite often)

If confident in another players ability go with a class that supports them well. Demolisher? use a destroyer to give them ammo. Justicar? Use a class with throw to set off detonations for them. Krogan vanguard? Go reave and watch the enemies explode as the krogan sets off every detonation you set up.

I dont know if many already know this but...

if you see a pyro with its fuel pack on fire, its going to blow up, so unless its close enough to attack you change to a different target. If you kill it before it detonates it doesnt blow up.

it just seems more useful to let it die by itself and harm its teammates next to it

I'm afraid I can't see it. You've mentioned that people should reload cancel, but you don't say how? Just for those new players who might not know of these mechanics.

Really great work though, compiling all those different tips. Definitely warrants a sticky.
I might suggest that you explain some terms like soft cover for new players as well?

Phantoms insta-kill is not too random, she always uses her simple melee before instakill. This leaves a little escapewindow, so if you MUST go near her, you can take a single hit.... but run as fast as you can after that !!!

Always keep an eye on your team mate's location, especially if s/he have no mic. Their location can tell you where the enemies spawned at and also where he'd be just in case s/he needs a rez.

Banshees can't instakill if they're in the middle of another animation. If you see her about to scream, cast a warp ball or melee then you have a brief window of safety.

Thermal pack restores 10 grenades. Not an issue for most classes, but the demolisher will be missing out on a couple.

to expand on "aiming at the floor with missiles"...if you see two Atlas' or Geth Primes in a line, don't aim at the first one, as it will shield the second one from most or all of the splash damage. if you can't get a good line of sight to the floor around them, aim at a nearby wall, or if you're indoors, at a low ceiling.

The N7 Paladin light melee offers 100% invincibility during its animation. Use this to swat Banshee warps, or Geth/Atlas missiles and you will take no damage, nor will you suffer from the DoT of the warp ball.

Good stuff here.

I think manypeople already know thse tips and use them but it is good to read them inblack and white sometimes to keep them "active" in your mind.

Very nice topic, thanks !

There's a cool trick to take down Pyros/Hunters I haven't seen and it can save lives :
When in cover and a Pyro/Hunter advancing, instead of running out of cover and take damage, wait for the enemy to come. Most of the time, it will stupidly wait behind the cover (the Pyro will be running his flamethrower but you won't be damaged by it) : that's when you can grab the mofo and terminate it.
Warning : this only works when the enemy goes directly to you and makes no sign of getting around the cover ; if he does, RUN.

Note : I don't know how to specify the type of cover. Obivously, you can't take cover behind a corner as the grab won't work, so you have to be behind a counter or a crate. I don't know how it's called... sorry.

Be calm and use a bit of patience under duress. Two main situations can turn a manageable situation into the falling dominos of doom.

1) If player goes down we all want to be hero and often more than one person sprints to revive, which is okay but slow up a bit to quickly assess the situation 1st to see what killed that person. Clear the enemies and then revive. If you don't make it in time don't feel bad as it is far better to have only one person down for the count than more than one.

2) Objectives, same thing here. Run to do the objective but slow up to access for danger. I've been in a number of groups that rush in to get the hack started with the zone already penetrated by enemies. You have more time to complete these objectives than you think.

Discretion is the better part of valor, feel free to run away screaming like a school girl if the situation looks bad. You can always come bad with your bad ass face on when you have found the best place for you to fight, not for your enemy to fight.

GPS can be charged and fired while running.

It can also be fired while you are travelling to a target, like in SS or BC

Last night I used my Fury with a Justicar, inside her "bubble".

Annihiltion field, Reave, Dark Channel. Throw = POWERFUL STUFF.

This is only for fun, but I do it religiously every match after reading about it here on the forums:

To make the rocket launcher on your back disappear:

- Equip your rocket launcher
- hit the key to put it away, then do a heavy melee immediately afterward.
- voila,no more ugly launcher on your back.

if you use a missile during the match, or run out of missiles, the launcher will return, but otherwise it should stay gone the entire match.
