''Reports are suggesting that BioWare co-founder Greg Zeschuk has left BioWare Austin, the developer behind the struggling MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic.
EA claim Zeschuk is taking some planned time off following the reorganisation of the company in May, but his LinkedIn profile suggests otherwise.
On the business networking site, Zechuk’s profile says he left the company in May, while GamersGlobal claims that neither Greg Zeschuk nor Ray Muzyka were present at a recent leadership meeting at the Mass Effect and Knights of the Old Republic studio.
An internal source claims that Zeschuk and Muzyka’s absence in such a meeting is unheard of.
It is being suggested that Major League Gaming CEO Matthew Bromberg has taken Zeschuk’s position and that BioWare Austin is to be renamed EA Austin.
Greg Zeschuk co-founded Bioware with Ray Muzyka and Augustine Yip back in 1995.
EA has refused to issue any official comment on the story.''

So it seems the once great studio of Bioware, which is now largely a laughing stock to its many core fans from years ago is losing one of the co-founders. Perhaps he could no longer stomach the rubbish EA force Bioware to make. Bioware used to be great, and I am not an old school fan, my first games were mass effect and dragon age origins, and even I can see they are a shadow of their former selves. EA have destroyed Bioware.

Well Chris Priestly has denied these rumors.

Well either way I have to agree about Bioware being a shadow of their former selves and perhaps not even that. I have hope though, hope that Dragon Age 3 will actually end up being good. Okay maybe not great or something that can be compared to the likes of Origins or Baldur's Gate but maybe it will turn out better than Dragon Age 2 (rush job, plot holes, choices not mattering)) and Mass Effect 3 (dumbed down, bad endings, plot holes).

Origins and Mass Effect 2 weren't that long ago. Both were great. Hopefully Bioware can recreate such experiences.
