 Until the Friends issue is traced and fixed I believe I have found a workaround to get your friends list to show. I have no way to test if you can add new friends as I don't have an account ID that I can add and expect a result from.

1.)Load Origin.
2.)Load Mass Effect 3.
3.)When you get to the main menu Alt+Tab out of the game.
4.)Terminate the Origin program (Preferably from it's Origin tab).
5.)Alt+Tab back into Mass Effect 3 it will tell you it detects Origin is closed and it has to terminate, let it do so.
6.)Restart Origin.
7.)Restart Mass Effect 3.
8.)Your Friends List should now display though it seems to have a somewhat longer then usual delay.

My FL seems to be working fine. ME3 has been nice to me (and origin I guess) since I bought it.

This was reported in another thread - my friend list show friends again but some are missing - particularly the earliest friends added. All recently added friends seems to be there. Guess they are still working on the issue (I hope).
If I try searching for them (missing friends) I don't get the option to send friend request again - seems to imply they are still linked as friends somewhere but Origin client doesn't show them.

Too bad EA/BioWare had to force Origin down our throat. Think of the problems it would solve if the game could be played like Mass Effect 1 or 2: played from the harddrive (ME1 PC) or played for the disc.
