Do people think that the Typhoon is actually a good gun anymore?

Gave it a quick whirl at rank 1 on my Destroyer. Using Stability + EB, it shoots straighter than my Revenant X but feels a lot weaker. I'd use AP+EB but I read somewhere that the AP mod is bugged on it. Because of the spool-up time it feels like I have to fire sustained bursts to get the most out of it, whereas the Revenant lets me fire quick bursts.
The Revenant is better for the lower leveled enemies but the Typhoon is better vs bosses. I think a large portion of the people hating on the Typhoon expect it be better than the Revenant at both, but that would make the Revenant obsolete which isn't BW's goal.
After trying it a bunch more times in Gold and Platinum, I find the performance against weaker enemies to be about equal. Sure the Typhoon does lower damage but it feels like I'm wasting approximately the same amount of ammo as I would with the Revenant because of the Revenant's lower accuracy. Against bosses though, the Revenant performs a lot better in my opinion - they're such large targets that the inaccuracy is not an issue, but the Typhoon's low damage and high fire rate make it run out before it can kill a boss. On Gold, this is not a big deal but on Platinum the Typhoon really suffers.

I jst love how everyone who compares the PPR to the typhoon always uses the arguent of not needing ammo. /Sarcasm
The PPR will run out of ammo. Cause if your anything like me, which I garantee you are. You WILL fire off every round, Its habit.
That only happens to me once, or twice a game at most. You'll run off to an ammo box more often than that.

Now when you do, the PPR takes like forever to vent its heat(much longer than the typhoons reload) & can not be reload canceled. So that means, when you over heat your gun against something with more power than a tropper your screwed. Unless you have a backup gun, which you wont because you think your ppr doesnt have ammo & thus doesnt need a back up.
That's a stupid assumption. the Particle Rifle is superior to the Typhoon, but it is not without weakness. My GI for example, uses a Scorpion as a sidearm for killing large clusters of enemies as they spawn and then I switch to the Particle Rifle for bosses and stragglers.
I should also probably mention that the both of those guns combined weigh the same as the Typhoon. So not only will I kill bosses faster than you with my setup, I'll kill everything else faster, and with less difficulty as well.
Have fun sniping enemies on Firebase London, and Hydra with a Typhoon, I'll be nuking the spawns with prox mines and a Scorpion, and then killing everything else without being restricted to cover because neither of the guns have recoil and accuracy issues like the Typhoon does.

So, you know what. My typhoon beats yoru PPR casue I can relaod cancel & shoot that annoying hunter who I just shot my last bullet at in the face while your liying dead on the ground waiting to be revived while your gun finishes it redicuolously long relaod animation.
I'm not like you. I use my brain.

Its garbage now.
I think that our Allied goals thing will not be met - because the Devs keep nerfing everything under the sun. It makes people mad to have their favorite gun nerfed, or their favorite class smurfed.
They are not making the game fun - and they do not know what fun is, it would seem. I know they mean well, but in all honesty, the game would be more fun if they had not messed with it at all.
So true
